Double room in lovely house 15 minutes to Gatwick
Comfortable and spacious Victorian home in a quiet country village with views over green fields. The house is within a few minutes walk of three village pubs, serving excellent food. This listing is for one room; if you need 2 or 3 rooms then please contact us or see other listings. You can leave your car with us while you are away for a fee, and subject to availability. There are many beautiful places to visit nearby. Check-in from 6:00pm or earlier by prior arrangement We have two cats. Our spacious Victorian house has a peaceful garden and lovely views over farmland. The comfortable double room is on the second floor and has views over surrounding country side. Due to the number of steps to the room, it may not be suitable for those with mobility problems Modern bathroom with bath, separate walk in shower, washbasin and wc. Shared use of the dining room, kitchen, bathrooms, and use of garden. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor pool when available during summer months. Please note that the pool is not heated. You are welcome to use space in fridge, and make use of the kitchen when available, for cooking meals or hot drinks. We can give advice on places to visit in the area, and local walks and cycle rides. Our house is in the small village of Outwood, home to the oldest working Windmill in Britain. There are three traditional English country pubs within a few minutes walk. There are many historic houses and beautiful gardens to visit nearby including Chartwell and Hever Castle. Lingfield Racecourse is only 15 minutes drive away, and Brighton can be easily reached by train or car. Gatwick is 15 minutes away by car and transport can be arranged, subject to availability. We are a 10 minutes drive from a train station from where it takes 45 minutes to reach London (Victoria or London Bridge). Public transport to and from the village is limited. There is ample parking on our large driveway; you can leave your car with us while you are away for a small fee, and subject to availability. There is little public transport from the village of Outwood itself. We have a cat.
