Newly converted to a high standard offering open plan living area with kitchen & wood burner. Large downstairs wet room with disabled access & separate utility room. Upstairs there are 2 en-suite bedrooms, one king and one twin with feature barrelled roof. Outside offers a small patio area with table & chairs. There is no grass for dogs but that's not an issue, as you are surrounded by countryside - we've also put in a hot/cold tap outside for our four legged friends & your wellies! Off road parking for two cars. The barn is open all year round for guests. Self contained detached barn for sole use. Please note, an adjacent property has pedestrian access over the driveway to the rear of their property during day light hours only. We live about 1 mile away and will be available to help if needed with any problems. A coded key box will be available to access the property. The property is located in the Vale of the White Horse with access to the Ridgeway just 2.5 miles away via the villages of Bishopstone or Ashbury. The property is particularly dog friendly and would also suit walkers or cyclists taking advantage of the stunning scenery in the surrounding area. Bishopstone has a lovely organic gastro-pub and the neighbouring village of Shrivenham (2 miles away) has a lovely coffee shop/deli and 3 other lovely pubs including an Indian takeway plus convenience store. The Joint Services Command Centre (JSCS) or Defence Academy is only 3-4 miles down the road too, and we have had several overseas visitors/lecturers staying at the barn for its comfort and convenience. A vehicle or bicycles are needed to access the surrounding areas, there is limited public transport in the village of Bourton. However once on the Ridgeway you can walk or cycle for miles. East takes you in the direction of the White Horse at Uffington and on towards the Chilterns and west leads you towards the Iron Age Fort at Barbury Castle and Marlborough with access to the neolithic henge monument at Avebury. No dogs allowed upstairs or on the furniture. Please remove muddy shoes on entering the property The security deposit will not be taken unless damage is caused to the property. It is set high as pets are welcome.
