Clifftop is a treat for the soul. Nestled at an elevated location on the northern edge of charming Glossa. It offers comfort, peace, and solitude while being a short walk to all amenities. The cottage features two spacious rooms & a fully-equipped kitchen & bathroom. Spacious terraces feature incredible sea and sky views, equipped with sun loungers, dining table and BBQ. Master bedroom and living room with pull-down sofa make an ideal space for family holidays or for romantic getaways. The cottage includes a living room with pull-down sofa, master bedroom with a double bed, fully-equipped kitchen and bathroom. It has fitted fly-screens throughout. Guests have their own washing machine and all the equipment needed for long days at the beach: cool box, beach towels, umbrellas and snorkels. Linen and towels are provided as well as a hair-dryer. Free parking is available in the village centre, a ten-minute walk away; we can only accommodate motorbikes on site. Guests are welcome to use our large garden, which has benches in shady spots overlooking the sea as well as a rose arbour. Our family lives on site in summertime and are always here to help phone a taxi, or recommend our favourite restaurants, but otherwise we like to provide our guests with peace and privacy! We are nestled at the western edge of Glossa, a charming traditional Greek village made up of winding streets lined with white-washed houses. Glossa is a living-breathing village that absorbs the visitors who arrive, rather than set up seasonally just to accommodate them. People looking for a peaceful and authentic Greek island experience will love Glossa. Its elevated location means there are fabulous views all around. The nearest beaches are a (steep) 25 minute walk downhill, with a regular bus running there, and all the way to Skopelos town, stopping at the most popular beaches along the south coast - some which you might recognize from the film Mamma Mia! The north side of the island offers more secluded and wild beaches, and the iconic monestary-at-sea, Agios Ioannis. Skopelos is famous for being the greenest Greek island. Its pine-clad hills contrast with the beautiful blue of the Aegean to create spectacular scenery. Old donkey paths now provide a huge choice of walking trails that criss-cross the island. There is a public bus that runs from Glossa port to the village, and then on to Skopelos town along the south coast, stopping at a number of beaches en-route. During the summer months the timetable is regular, and the duration to Skopelos is one hour. We have plenty of guests who make do with this bus service and the local taxi service, but there is also car and motorbike rentals available at Glossa port (Loutraki - search for Magic Cars Skopelos to find the company's website). We have space for motorbikes at the property, but not for cars, though there is free parking in the centre of the village, a 10-minute walk away.
