This studio has its own entrance and huge, private balcony with view of Souda Bay. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, cooking appliance and all the tools and dishes needed for quick and easy meals. Linens and towels are included. Margarita, the owner, is fluent in English, German and Greek. The Akriomios Complex is close to CHANIA AIRPORT - 20 minutes by car Heraklion Airport is about 2 hours by car. We also have our own little private pebble beach - 10 minutes walk Chania Town is 20 minutes by car You will have full access to the swimming pool - which is on the ground floor. Enjoy the Akriomios Taverna (with organic food) & 2 bars on the ground floor Nearby Above Akrimios is the village of Aptera. It is a ten minute walk or three minutes by car and has three spacious tavernas with views towards the White Mountains. There is also a small mini-market here. Ten minutes by car is the sea-side town of Kalives with its large IN.KA supermarket, great beaches and multitude of excellent tavernas. A bit further down the coast is the charming resort of Almyritha, with a lovely beach and outstanding tavernas. Of course the beautiful Venetian city of Chania is only fifteen minutes drive. How to find us We are situated east of Chania just off the National Highway. The entrance to the Hotel is exactly opposite the Aptera turn. If you arrive at Chania airport or Souda port, then join the National Highway (direction Rethymno) and you will be with us in around ten minutes. Look for the signpost for Aptera and Megala Chorafia. If you come from Heraklion direction and are heading west, then you will find us on your right, about five minutes after the turn for Kalami. There is a public bus (Bus Stop is in front of the door, Megala Chorafia) going to/from Chania. But we recommend you to hire a car while in Crete in order to discover the island and to be more flexible. Activities at Akrimios Margarita offers accompanied journeys to sacred and meditative places on Crete, as well as transformative healing sessions and massage. These are ideally booked two or more days in advance. You are also invited to attend the seminars and workshops that frequently happen in the same building. Below the apartments is our restaurant where you can eat outside and enjoy the spectacular views over Souda Bay. We serve mainly local produce and biological food from our own farm. Some weekends there might be a baptism or wedding, and you can enjoy Greek food and Greek music, and might even try your feet out at Greek dancing! Below our property is a tiny church set above its own pebbly beach and crystal clear water. A path leads all the way down. Make sure you wear sensible shoes for the ten to fifteen minute descent!
