This 3/4 bedroom barn conversion is located in the beautiful town of Godmanchester where the River Great Ouse runs through. The barn is 2,912 square foot & consists of - 1 x Four Poster Super King Bed, tv, dressing table & wardrobes 1 x King Size Bed, tv-DVD use ONLY, dressing tabl (Website hidden by Airbnb) single beds, wardrobe (Website hidden by Airbnb) single beds/communal area, wardrobes 1 x shower room Kitchen Cloakroom Open plan lounge/dining area & games area with pool table, air hockey, table football & table tennis. Gym The Old Hay Barn is perfect for families and groups of friends with it’s large open plan lounge/diner and games room. In the games area you will find - Pool Table Air Hockey Table Tennis Foosball Table You’ll find a great selection of games on the bookshelf, you’ll find Monopoly, Scrabble, Twister, Pie Face, Jenga, jigsaws, and many more. We have a large selection of books from children to adults so grab one, relax and have a nice read. There is also a gym with free weights, weight machine, running machine, bike, rowing machine, punch bag, kettle bells, roller for your aching muscles and floor mats. Feel free to use the outdoor gravel space with table, chairs, bbq and chimanea for relaxing. If you need charcoal we can provide for £6 a bag or wood at £6 to keep the chimanea alight. Please note we do not permit parties or loud music at the old hay barn, noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm. In line with the above we regret their is No use of the outdoor areas after 11pm. Pets are also not permitted I'm afraid. Guests have full use of all facilities the barn has to offer. There is secure parking by electric gates for 2 cars. Guests can also use the table and chairs and chimneer that are outside the barn for their own personal use. BBQ is also available. Charcoal is £6 a bag and wood for chimnea is also £6 and which should be enough to keep you going for the duration of your stay. Available 24/7 for guests. Godmanchester, owes the origin of its current name to the Roman occupation of Britain although there is archaeological evidence that the site of the town was occupied before the Roman invasion. Godmanchester is situated at the junction of two famous Roman roads, the Via Devana and Ermine Street where they cross the River Great Ouse. Godmanchester stands on the southern bank of the River Great Ouse opposite the town of Huntingdon on the northern bank to which it is joined by two bridges, the ancient medieval arched stone bridge and a modern high level bridge carrying the major A14 dual carriageway between Cambridge and Peterborough. The town boasts no fewer than 130 buildings Listed for Special Architectural Interest. Godmanchester is a lovely town with local amenities such as coffee shops, local grocery, butchers, Chinese restaurant, Indian restaurant, Fish and Chips, local pubs/restaurants. All within a 5 minute walk from The Old Hay Barn. For families there are 2 lovely parks nearby and a large park area for outdoor games. You can hire a boat locally and enjoy the River Great Ouse at leisure. There are also canoes to hire by the Chinese Bridge in Godmanchester. Captain Tim also operates a passenger service up to Brampton mill pub and eatery. Why not treat yourself and we can arrange for a local beautician to visit you whilst staying who can provide massages, manicures, pedicures, waxing and lots more. Hinchingbrooke Park is a 5/10 minute drive which offers lovely walks and a great area for children to run around. If you’ve come with your bikes Grafham Water is only a 15/20 minute drive, which is great for biking round, sailing and fishing. We do have a small selection of adult and children bikes that are available on request, you can also hire them at Grafham Water. Cambridge is only 20 minute drive away with its famous university buildings, punting and other sights. East of England show ground is approx 20 min drive. Godmanchester is easily found off the A14. Nearest train station is Huntingdon which is 5/10 minute taxi ride or 20 minute walk. Nearest bus station is also Huntingdon with frequent buses running to Godmanchester. No pets allowed No smoking No parties!
