Peaceful Country Home, Dover, Ma: Private Entrance
Graceful country oasis in a renovated 125 year old historic home, 35 minutes driving time from downtown Boston. We are located on a scenic road in sophisticated Dover, Ma, a commuter/country setting, with miles of hiking trails and roads ideal for cycling, and surprisingly close to downtown Boston. I have owned and loved this home for 30 years and take great joy in it's charm and outdoor spaces. I welcome quiet, mature guests. Note: Stair-climbing required to reach bedroom suite. Your suite has been renovated to include a sunlit 2 sink bathroom with large, walk-in rain shower. The bedroom suite includes a sitting area, skylight and is beautifully lit throughout most of the day. There is a small stone patio directly outside your private entrance. A large hilltop patio is steps away. Note: Cooking facilities are minimal: small microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker are provided; a "coffee station" type of set up. If I am not home, your private entrance will be available. Generally, I expect to meet and greet each guest! I run a private therapy practice from my home and appreciate quiet guests. I lead a very active out-door lifestyle and am happy to be a quiet or engaged host. Our town is quaint and elegant; it would be hard to find a place more rurally beautiful, yet 30 minutes from downtown Boston. Our town center is quiet, with a market and newly installed (and well camouflaged) Dunkin Donuts. Across from my house is 900 acres of conservation land. There are countless ways to enjoy the outdoors, here! We are 5 miles from Wellesley College, Babson College and 15 miles from Foxboro Stadium. If you would like to take a more extended trip, beaches are just over an hour away. There are countless cycling routes, walking trails and walkable neighborhoods. There isn't any public transportation. To be clear, my home is a quiet, smoke free, drug free space, inside and out. All of these qualities, without exception, are very important to me.
