Cottage with thatched roof near the North Sea

Our small thatched cottage is located between the popular North Sea beaches of Büsum and Sankt Peter-Ording. The cottage is beautiful in every season! On the ground floor there is a kitchen, living room and bathroom. As you can see from the photos, the entire house has been newly renovated and refurbished from the inside. We ourselves attach great importance to the interior decoration and have furnished the house with love for detail. Upstairs are the two bedrooms with double beds. We rent our cottage for a maximum of 4 people. A washing machine and fast wifi can be used. Important: We spend a lot of time in our cottage ourselves, so you will always find some of our food in the utility room, which you can take if you need it. When you leave, you should replenish the food you have borrowed. As we have two small children of our own, the whole house and garden is very child-friendly. In the house itself we have a play kitchen, a large assortment of Lego bricks, a wooden railway, a play tent, many puzzles, books, children's CDs and games. In the garden there is a large trampoline, two swings and a very large sandpit including a digging kitchen. Another highlight is a large kettcar with trailer, a children's bike, bodycar and lots of outdoor toys. We store the key in the key safe by arrangement, so that you can go straight into the house on arrival. A parking space (including carport) directly at the house is at your disposal. As our daughter is allergic herself, we are unfortunately unable to accept pets. Additional costs? - Electricity, heating and water are included in the rent. - Towels and bed linen are also included - The final cleaning will be charged with EUR 80,- extra. You will receive the key on site without having any contact with us. However, you can reach us by phone at any time. You can park in the carport or on the driveway. In the house you will find a folder with everything you need to know about the house. Dithmarschen is surrounded by water. The North Sea lies to the west, the moors to the east, the Elbe to the south and the Eider to the north. Dithmarschen distinguishes itself as a holiday and farming region. For some time it has also been one of the main German producers of wind energy. Wind pretty much always blows here. Which makes water sports enthusiasts, especially windsurfers and kitesurfers, very happy. Both in Sankt Peter-Ordingen and in Büsum you can attend surfing courses or watch the spectacle from the land. Swimming and digging is of course also possible - and you can also get shrimp boats on both beaches. However, in Tönnigen - only 15 minutes away from us - you can buy cheap and fresh crabs and fish directly from the fishing cooperative. Not to be forgotten is the old shipyard café, right next to the fishing cooperative. You eat and drink directly on the Eider, between old planks. It is also worth visiting the Multimar Wattforum in Tönningen at the old port. Our personal tip is the "Katinger Watt" nature reserve. Completely under the radar, you can wonderfully go wading or swimming at high tide. Directly behind the dyke, after a short walk through the sheep, you will also find a nice playground with a shower by the water. Which is unavoidable after a day on the mudflats... Make a short stop at Café Koog, towards Sankt Peter, either to buy delicious regional groceries or to eat a delicious cake. Another tip from us is to visit Friedrichstadt. With a pedal boat you can drive through the canals of the Treene and do sightseeing from the water. This excursion is also possible with the little ones. Our house is a reed roof house. This means a wonderful indoor climate, silence in wind and rain but also the odd spider. Spiders are important because they keep other parasites away from the roof. Also, open fires are prohibited up to a distance of 200 metres. Please do not make bonfires for stick bread. You are of course welcome to use the gas barbecue under the shelter.
