Beautiful Private Double room in Thatch cottage.

The house is full of character, has a warm country cottage feel. The house was built in the 1600 so has a few stories to tell. The garden is beautiful, and has its own Bird visitors. We are proud owners of a kitten, who really enjoys cuddles and playing. We want you to feel at home in this wonderful house, and will do our best for you to feel so. We are Hannah and Chris a young couple, relatively new to country life. The village is very cute, with a few amenities- pub, two restaurants, post- office and shop. The river Thames is 100 m away, and a 25 minute walk along the river will take you into Abingdon, a small market town. The house was built in 1600, and has stood tall ever since. We are relatively new to the area, but think it is wonderful. If you fancy a spot of outdoor swimming we know a good place. Air bb guest are welcome to use the communal area to cook etc. We have also put a TV in your bedroom, with access Netflix’s and Amazon Prime ( free options) to so feel free to relax in the comfort of your bed. Happy to show you around the house, but also aware of guest wanting their own space. This also means space from the kitten if you need some. We sometimes have our other spare room rented out too, so you might meet other guests. Happy to help and will reply to text messages during your stay. The village is actually steeped with history - George Orwell is buried in the grave just two doors down, and the former president Asquith used to live in the house by the river. The village is very cute, with a few amenities- local pub, two restaurants ( The fish and The Swan) post- office and shop. Harwell is 15 minute drive away, Abingdon 8 mins, Didcot 10 Minutes, and Oxford is 25 Minutes ( park and ride from just outside) The river Thames is 100 m away, and a 25 minute walk along the river will take you into Abingdon, a small market town.
