'The Hideaway' is in the quiet village of Newborough in the heart of Staffordshire. It is within walking distance of our village pub where you find good food and a warm welcome. ' The Hideaway' is for two guests with a double bed and queen size luxury mattress. It has a comfortable living space or working place,a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. It has a toilet bar and the doors are wide for easy access. “The Hideaway” is cozy and comfortable. The perfect place to escape or to work from. Guests will have their own access to the “The Hideaway”. There is a safe parking space on the drive way at the front of the main house . You will have complete access to “The Hideaway”. You will have your own door to the property and your own key. You will have a parking space at the front of the house,off the road. You will always be able access this space. You also have a garden and patio for your use. I live on the premises so I will always be on hand and committed to providing you with a great stay. I will give advice on things to do in the area. I am a teacher and an holistic therapist. Holistic therapies are available on request. I also speak French.. Your kitchen is fully equipped to cater for yourself and there are many local hostelries in which to eat great food. Barton Marina ten minutes minutes away, has a wonderful Thai Restaurant , a cozy American Style Cinema and other pubs and restaurants. Burton-on-Trent famous for its beer is only 20 minutes down the road. Alton Towers is 30 minutes away and there are many exciting events taking place here throughout the year ! Lichfield is full of excellent places to eat and drink, plus festivals in the summer and a beautiful cathedral. Abbots Bromley is only five minutes away by car and boasts four pubs and an excellent Indian which will deliver takeaway if requested. The National Arboretum is down the road, hosting many events including The ride to the wall and Remembrance schedules . A unique location! Cannock Chase is on the doorstep with its absolute natural beauty locations , many attractions including “ Go Ape”. The breathtakingly beautiful Peak District is literally in the doorstep. There are two Buddhist centres close by in Derby and Kings Bromley. I love this village and have lived here for thirty five years . I love to travel but always love to come home. The village of Newborough has a pub,a church and a bespoke coffee shop offering delicious cakes and hot food. It has great local walks and splendid views. It is in the heart of the National Forest and is a picture postcard village with an excellent pub and another one near by, which boasts a varied menu. It is quiet and picturesque. Five minutes up the road is the village of Abbotts Bromley which has four pubs and an excellent Indian Restaurant. The city of Lichfield is 20 mins drive away and is an excellent location to eat , drink and explore. Alton Towers is a very popular destination as is The National Arboretum. You will need your own transportation to “The Hideaway”.There are buses ( though they are few)that come to the village and local taxis which will take you to Staffordshire local speciality markets and main local towns. A bus time table and taxi numbers will be avaiable to you in your information pack. Local attractions include: Tattenhill Air field .You can learn to fly here or access training courses.See photos. Just five minutes away by car . This makes this is an excellent location for trainee pilots. Lichfield City and Cathedral ( 9 miles), Uttoxeter Racecourse (15 mins), St. George's Park FA , home of the England team! 5 mins. The National Memorial Arboretum(25 mins) King's Bromely Buddist Centre (10 mins) Ashborne and The Peak District National Park (30 mins) Alton Towers (30 mins) perfect location for Scarefest and Fireworks celebrations. Sudbury Hall Museum of Childhood (10 mins) Drayton Manor Park, Cannock Chase (30 mins) Tamworth Snowdome, Shugborough Hall, Calke Abbey, Tissington Trail (25 mins) ( The National Peak District), Bluebell wood in Spring (5 mins) Blithfield Reservoir (10 mins) Carsington Water (25 mins). All distances are by car. Cannock Chase and “Go Ape”. I am surrounded by beautiful places to visit. The second major city of Birmingham is one hour away. I am 15 minutes from the A38 and A50. 30 mins from M42 and M6. Check in 3 pm Check out 11 am
