We aim to provide you with a clean, comfortable and inviting house in Bishop Auckland, County Durham. With lots of rural and historic places to visit the cottage makes an excellent base to enjoy all the local attractions, it also makes a great central location when working in the region. The house has three bedrooms sleeping 4 guests and contains a relaxing conservatory and patio area perfect for a relaxing after a busy day working or exploring. The property has been recently refurbished and makes an exceptional place to stay and explore all that beautiful County Durham has to offer. The main living area with a sitting area is ideal for sharing quality time together as a family, whether that be playing one of the house board games or enjoying popcorn and your favourite movie on Netflix. The sitting area leads into to the open plan kitchen / conservatory dining area with extendable dining table seating up to 8 people. The kitchen comes equipped with a full array of utensils, dinner sets, drinking glasses and cutlery. It has refrigerator/freezer; microwave; oven; hob; and washing machine. You will also find a kettle, toaster and coffee machine. In the cupboards you will also find a hand mixer and hand blender. A welcome pack will be provided complementary containing necessities and bedding, towels and WIFI will be provided for use during your stay. Venturing upstairs, you’ll find the home’s three bedrooms. The first is the master suite with a comfortable King sized bed. You will also find 2 inviting single bedrooms and the bathroom. Guests will have full access to the property. We like to give guests space to enjoy their break however we do live locally and are available should our guests need us. Bishop Auckland in the Land of the Prince Bishops is known as the gateway to Weardale it has many beautiful cycling and walking paths and in the surround areas there are numerous market towns to enjoy. Rose Hill Retreat has the benefit of outdoor storage for walking and cycling equipment if needed. Local attractions are also plentiful and include: Kyren (2.3miles), Auckland Castle (2 miles), Binchester Roman Fort (2.9 miles), Shildon Railway Museum (4.9 miles), Hamsterley Forest (13.5miles), Durham Cathedral (14 miles) Raby Castle (7.2miles) and Beamish the living Museum of the north (25.5 miles). There is a bus stop close to the property. There is a train station in bishop Auckland and connections can be make at Darlington. Bishop Auckland is a fantastic location to explore all the North has to offer. No parties or events should be held in the house. Please find somewhere else if you’re planning something big and noisy. Please note this house is located in a residential area, so for the sake of our neighbours, we politely ask all guests to keep the noise down at all times, but especially between 10PM and 7AM.
