The Cottage is the result of a loving conversion of the standalone Victorian red-brick Dove Cote at my family home, Rectory Farm. The renovation has just completed so everything is brand new and sparkling clean. It’s filled with custom-made furniture, original art, premium appliances and fun gadgets. The Cottage is set in a private 14 acre estate in the rolling countryside close to Market Harborough. Supermarkets, restaurants, and entertainment for kids is a 10-minute drive away. It’s also a great base to explore Leicester, Market Harborough, Northampton, Rugby, Kettering and Corby. London is 1 hour-train away. We are well located for events at Kelmarsh Hall, Kilworth House Hotel and Theatre, Silverstone Race Circuit, Althorp Park, Leicester Racecourse, Donnington Park and The Sourdough School. The Cottage has it's entrance, kitchen and living room and a toilet on the ground floor with stairs leading up to the first floor where the bedroom and bathroom accommodation is located. I host because I love helping people discover the area where I grew up and giving them the chance to experience it the way we do as locals. We respond quickly via the AirBNB app, Messaging Apps and by phone if you have any questions. When you arrive we will normally be here to welcome you personally, but I also provide self check-in via your personal door code if you are arriving late. Clipston is just 10 minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of Market Harborough which is directly connected by direct high speed train to Nottingham, Leicester, Luton Airport and London St Pancras and one change to London Gatwick Airport. The village offers a traditional English way of life with a good pub serving homemade food, summer fetes, friendly community and access to beautiful walks and countryside pursuits. We are very close to a plethora of interesting places and things to do including the world famous Foxton Locks and the Grand Union canal, The Soaring Centre (Glider Airport), Welford Children's Farm Park, Pitsford Reservoir (sailing / kayaking / biking), Mini Mischief's Soft play centre and much more. Whilst you can arrive by train and then taxi to the Loft, most people come by car, as we are located about 2 miles from the village in open countryside and we offer secure parking free of charge. o The Cottage has its entrance and open plan kitchen, living diner, plus guest toilet on the ground floor leading to stairs up to the first floor where the open plan bedroom bathroom suite is located. o We are always super flexible to try to accommodate free late check-out and early check-in subject to other guests arriving or departing whenever we can.
