Large home with games room and enormous kitchen

A newly renovated, 16th Century farmhouse with Edwardian and modern day extensions, is the perfect home suitable for grand get-togethers or for family gatherings. It can sleep a max of 16 in 6 double bedrooms and with the use of 2 double sofa beds. 4 acres with in ground trampoline, large over ground "pool" - during summer months. 3 open fires, enormous open plan Kitchen/dining/living, gym , pool table, table tennis and snug. Pub and Sissinghurst Gardens walking distance. No Hens/Stags/parties As you walk in through the front door there is a large hallway with a log burning stove. You walk through into our 80 sq ft kitchen/dining/living room. Our open plan kitchen has an everhot oven with 4 large ovens, 2 sinks, nespresso coffee machine. We have underfloor heating. Our kitchen table is made up with 2 tables that can be configured in anyway and can seat 16 easily. There are 2 large tv's with sonos speakers and there are big double doors leading out to the patio and main garden. The seating area in the kitchen has 3 large sofas and 1 chair. We have a sitting room with corner sofa. There's a tv here and an inglenook fireplace. The perfect place for a quiet read to escape the noise of the kids! The gym has a bike and treadmill as well as a tv. We also have a games room with a table tennis table, pool table and large tv. Upstairs there is a very large master bedroom with double aspect window with a Super King bed and a large ensuite with double shower. Our guest bedroom has a King sized bed and a day bed that pulls out into a double. Our daughter's bedroom has a double bed so is suitable to be for adults or children. Our sons bedroom also has a double bed. We have 2 other bathrooms on this floor - one with a roll top bath and separate walk in shower and the other with a shower over the bath. On the top floor we have 2 attic bedrooms both with double beds (one of these rooms also has a pull out double sofa bed). There's a loo and basin up here. Our grounds are set over 4 acres. In the main garden are our cut flower garden, trampoline, gymnastic bars and during the summer months an 18ft over ground “swimming pool”. Our house has recently finished being renovated with new plumbing, heating etc. Most of the rooms have been finished to a very high spec however there are a few areas are unfinished. All main downstairs rooms (apart from games room) and all bedrooms and bathrooms have been finished (so it's mainly the landings and hallways that still look old). It is a work in progress! Our house has old wooden floors throughout so please bring slippers or thick socks! Our family will be living onsite in totally separate accommodation with a private garden. You are free to enjoy your stay uninterrupted but we are here should you need anything. You have access to the whole house and gardens. We have an amazing pub, The Milk House, which is just 10 mins walk away (or 2 min drive). Sissinghurst Castle & Gardens is just 1.5m away. You can walk directly from our house over the apple orchards, or you can take the car It is also the ideal base for exploring the many attractions in Kent. Too numerous to list here (more information will be in our welcome back) but there are famous houses and gardens (including Sissinghurst, Great Dixter and Batemans), castles (Bodiam, Leeds, Hever and Dover), Battle and Bayham abbeys, historic steam railways (Tenterden as well as the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch model railway), Bedgebury Pinetum with cycle trails and Go Ape, and Bewl Water for sailing activities. Staplehurst train station is 4 miles (8 minutes drive) which takes you into London Waterloo, London Bridge and Charing Cross in less than an hour. Tunbridge Wells with its great shopping and restaurants is just 20 minutes drive away. Rye (antiques) and Camber Sands (amazing sandy beach) are just 30-40 mins drive away. We will provide the first basket of logs free of charge. All other logs in the property are not to be used. There is a Shell garage 2 mins drive away that sell bags of logs. We have no carpets throughout so advise slippers or thick socks. Although we do have central heating, open fires and blankets, it is an old property so please bring layers.
