The Snug - perfect for Bombay Sapphire experiences

Welcome to The Snug, our beautiful escape in Bombay Sapphire territory, on the banks of the River Test. Extended to include front door access from London St. Your suite incorporates an open plan lounge and kitchenette, wifi tv, breakfast bar, fridge, combination oven / microwave, washing machine etc through to a separate shower room and large comfy bedroom c/w luxurious cast iron bath. Recently extended after constructive feedback from some of our longer stay guests to provide an open plan lounge, tv and breakfasting bar. Our home is situated on the banks of the River Test and perfectly sited for access to Bombay Sapphire, various local walks, sightseeing, transport links, quality food and drink, and trout fishing apparently! The Snug is a locked off private area for our guests during the duration of their stay. Guests have private access to their own bathroom, bedroom, shower room and open plan lounge / kitchenette area as well as a small private garden area with access to London Street via a stable door gate. Guests can park their car on our driveway, or with agreement in the rear garden area of our home if required. Complimentary EV charging available onsite. During your stay, either Jemma or myself will always be contactable via text message or call 24/7. One of us should also be available and in the main home during both the day and evenings. Whitchurch is a small town with a village atmosphere. We are situated on the bank of the River Test and minutes away from several established walks. The area is popular for walking, with cycling becoming more popular also. The village has several pubs including the Kings Arms which is family friendly and fabulous for drinks and food. The White Hart is very good and normally hosts live music on a Friday evening. Additionally, there is The Bell Inn and the Prince Regent, both very nice. There is a small communal cinema hall showing movies on a Wednesday night! The village centre has both a Co-op Food and Tesco Express, a petrol station and the lovely Kudos Cafe shop serving various drinks and snacks. Haynes Hanson & Clark Wine Merchants is personally vouched for and the Blue Ginger is a highly recommended Indian Restaurant and a favourite of ours. All shops and pubs are within a 5-10 min walk. The Whitchurch Silk Mill is a popular 19th century watermill that weaves English silk fabrics using 19th century machinery. It has a lovely tea room and shop onsite There are regular buses along London Street running between Andover - Whitchurch - Laverstoke - Overton - Basingstoke. (Laverstoke Mill stop for Bombay Sapphire) The railway station is 1.3 km away / 4 minute drive. Trains available direct to / from London Waterloo via Basingstoke, Woking etc or West towards Exeter St Davids via Andover. There are several walking and cycling trails way marked around Whitchurch including The Mill Trail - a 7 mile walk taking in 5 water mills.
