Private double room in East Sussex

Private double bed room with wash basin, the bathroom is shared with Cliff & Jenny. Our small oast house is on the edge of town overlooking countryside and is very quiet. Price includes a homemade breakfast if you want it. We have two friendly cats. Beautiful character home in the Sussex Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The house, gardens and our 5 acres (2 hectares) of woodland. The living areas and kitchen are shared. You will be our house guests. The house is in a quiet country lane 5 minutes from the centre of the small town of Heathfield yet looking out over fields and woodland. It is located in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coastal towns of Eastbourne, Hastings and Bexhill are all about 30 minutes away by car. We are 300 m from the 'Cuckoo Trial' cycle route which follows an old train line all the way to the coast at Eastbourne. There is a bus stop at the end of our lane though services are not very frequent. The town centre with its cafes and restaurants is 10 - 15 minutes walk, as is the beautiful 16th century pub which also serves fine food. There are many beautiful country walks easily accessible from our garden. The nearest train stations are 7 miles (10 km) away, with train time to central London 75 - 90 minutes. The South Coast Art Trail features modern art galleries at Eastbourne (The Towner), Bexhill (De La Warr Pavilion) and Hastings (The Jerwood). Both the South Downs National Park and Glyndebourne Opera House are 30 minutes by car.
