The Marais de Larchant, a labyrinth of canals with a view on the medieval Saint Mathurin basilica, lies just West of the Fontainebleau forest, close to the famous bouldering spot of la Dame Jouanne. The house rented is fully independent, with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 dining room and a large drawing room. It has its own linen, kitchenware and cutlery. At the heart of the marais' canals, it is perfectly quiet. The island on which it is located will be at your disposal but the rest of the natural reserve is closed to the public. The entire house and the island on which it is located (surrounded by canals) is at the guests' disposal. Walks in the marsh and canals can be organised depending on availabilities. We'll be around and happy to help for the duration of your stay. The house is a 2 minute drive from Larchant, a medieval village with a stunning half-ruined basilica at its center. It has been a place of pilgrimage since the 11th century. Just by Larchant stands the famous bouldering spots of la Dame Jouanne and l'éléphant. Going to the Fontainebleau castle takes 15 minutes by car, with a drive through the Fontainebleau forest. It is also a short drive to the Grand Parquet, where important equestrian events take place.
