From your unique vantage point, sit comfortably and watch the tide as it wraps around the fabulous Mersea Island. Remember we truly are an island when the tide is high! Ideal base for two active people who wish to swap pavements for footpaths. Unlock some Mersea magic and explore the ebb and flow of this hidden gem off the Essex coast. From your secure parking space, use the keys from the key safe to unlock the gate to the small Lodge garden. The Lodge, unshared and completely self-contained, offers extensive estuary and countryside views whilst affording you complete privacy and security. Annie and I have throughly enjoyed hosting for Airbnb guests and are confident you will enjoy your stay at the Lodge. Our wish is to be helpful while respecting your need for privacy and keeping you safe. We have always been noted for the cleanliness of the Lodge. Our new cleaning regime reflects the current situation. The footpath which runs past the Lodge, leads down to the estuary and it’s array of colourful boats and graceful seabirds. An area known as the ‘Anchorage’ remains unchanged and unspoilt for your enjoyment. There’s much we could recommend if you fancy a drive out. If you're staying local for the day, the lovely community of Mersea will all be ready to make you feel welcome. The whole island is within walking distance, but bikes, paddle boards and kayaks are some of the other options. We have reserved a parking space for Lodge guests. Extra parking could be made available. To be as clear as possible, we have one king size bed with an option to separate into two single beds if preferred.
