Peaceful apartment in fantastic rural location.
The Loft at the Old Forge is a self contained open plan apartment accessed up an outside metal staircase. We have king sized bed with electric blanket and kitchenette with a built in fridge. There is a separate shower cubicle and a separate toilet with vanity unit. The apartment enjoys wonderful rural views. The apartment has its own entrance, parking space and garden. It is a peaceful and restful get away. Fibre broadband is installed for the use of guests. The Loft is comfortable and benefits from a very quiet rural location. It is an ideal place to observe nature and appreciate the sense of space all around. We are situated close to national cycle routes 31, 1 and 517 and can provide locked bike storage if required. The entire apartment and small garden with table and chairs. We will be available either in person or by telephone/email during our guest's stay. The Loft is part of our home so we will be on hand to deal with any difficulties. We are situated within 10 minutes by car of Beccles on the southern edge of The Broads National Park. Beccles is an interesting, thriving and historical market town and a justifiably popular centre for exploring the Broads by car, boat, cycle and foot. We are blessed to live in beautiful countryside with walking and cycling from our doorstep. Our local pub ‘The Wheatacre White Lion’ Burgh St Peter, is one mile away and serves delicious meals, advance booking is advisable. . Beccles offers numerous excellent supermarkets, shops and restaurants. We have many beaches nearby including Southwold and Aldeburgh. Minsmere is about 40 minutes away which combines bird watching with the extensive beach at Dunwich. The Waveney River Centre is just 2 miles down the road where there is an excellent pub and boat hire, with access to the Broads. A car is essential to explore this area but there is a train station in Beccles and regular buses to Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. The opportunity for walking is extensive providing walks on the beach, heathland and in the spectacular countryside all around. This is also great area for cycling on the many lanes in beautiful countryside and we are close to National Cycle Routes 31, 1 and 517, which converge in and around Beccles. We provide cereals, milk, tea and coffee for you to make your own breakfast. There is a two ring induction hob and a small microwave as well as a fridge. There is a toaster. The kitchen has cookware and crockery for you to use. We have a gas barbecue for the use of guests and garden table and chairs. We provide larder basics like salt and pepper and a small amount of olive oil. There is anti bacterial spray, washing up liquid, sponge and dish cloth as well as tea towels. Toilet rolls, soap, shampoo and shower gel are also provided. Two bath sheets and two hand towels are in the apartment for guests to use but beach towels are not provided. Our apartment is completely separate to our living area and therefore social distancing is very easy. Our lock box enables guests to enter the apartment without personal contact and will be sterilised between guests. Our cleaning routine reflects the Covid 19 risks and complies with current guidance.
