Spacious, Durham City Retreat - Relaxing Room

A lovely double room within a modern 4-bed, semi-detached property. A 30 minute walk to Durham city center, with a supermarket and other amenities close by. The house is located within Belmont at the entrance to a very quiet cul-de-sac. Our place is your perfect stay: beautiful walks are a stones throw away, the comfy beds are sure to please, while the house also benefits from a cozy sitting area and a bathroom with walk-in shower and separate bath. There is also ample off-street parking. Guests are welcome to use the front drive to park their cars, additional parking is available on the cul-de-sac. You are welcome to make use of the sun room lounge area which has Smart TV with Freeview, Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. The garden space is wonderful for a chilled evening and the perfect balance of shade and sunshine: my favorite is the chaise lounge. Guests also have use of the large coal BBQ and Fire Pit during the summer months (additional charges may apply). You can also make use of the fully equipped kitchen to cook up a delightful meal, or to make tea and coffee which is provided free of charge to guests. The bean to cup coffee machine helps to make mornings that little bit better! I also highly recommend the use of the ice machine provided for a cheeky G & T on an evening. Guests have access to super-fast Wi-Fi. I offer a continual breakfast, with cereals and fruit. There are also a host of pubs, restaurants, cafes and takeaways nearby. I am more then happy to recommend some depending on what you fancy. Guests have access to parking on the front drive (space permitting). In the house, guests have access to all downstairs areas with the exception of the private front living, office and other non-guest bedrooms. I work from home so I will most likely be available for check-ins, and to show new guests around. My home is your home, when staying in the house, don't be shy! Feel free to watch the TV in the Sun Room, or cook in the kitchen if you would like. The back garden is kitted out for kids to play and adults to relax, in the sun. Guests are free to message or call me should they need any help if I am not around. I am happy to recommend places to visit, restaurants to eat at, or pubs to have a drink in. FYI, I can arrange firewood for the fire pit and coal for the BBQ but I will need advance notice of this and an additional charge will apply. Belmont is a nice, quiet suburb of Durham, still within the DH1 postcode. Within about a 3 minute walk there is a local pub and steak house. Within the center of the estate, there are local shops and amenities: a delightful cafe, small supermarket and takeaways. The house is 5-minutes from Junction 62 of the A1, by car. At the bottom of the street there is a national cycle path (2 miles from the street to the center of Durham). At the top of the street there is a bus stop, with buses running regularly between Durham and Sunderland (travel is free for students showing a valid ID). While you can get into town in about 10 minutes by car. Bedding and towels are provided. Guests are free to use the Hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and the hair dryer provided. Guests are also welcome to make full use of the utility room for washing clothes, ironing etc.
