Overlooking beautiful countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty, this lovely detached modern house is situated in the grounds of the main house. Henley on Thames 12 minutes, Marlow 20 minutes, river Thames 5 minutes all by car. The house is available to use as well as the immediate forecourt where there is a small outdoor table and chairs for drinks/dining. Sorry but the gardens are not accessible. Just the house... Available for questions via email/text/telephone. Locally its very rural. We are surrounded by fields and farmland. Nearest convenience store is in Hambleden, about an 8 minute drive. Opens 9-5pm. After that, it'll be a drive to Henley where you have Waitrose, Tescos open till about 8pm and Sainsbury's until 10pm. Our favourite pubs: The Five Horseshoes (Maidensgrove) The Frog at Skirmett The Little Angel Our favourite restaurants: Marlow - The Hand and Flowers - owner Tom Kerridge. Michelin starred. Hard to get a table. Book ahead. Marlow- Cote Brasserie, Fegos, Bills a all day dining, particularly good for breakfast. Medmenham - Dog and Badger (breakfast, lunch or dinner) Maidensgrove - The Five Horseshoes - cosy country pub/restaurant with open fire. Henley - The Hart StreetTavern. Great food and wine list and a nice buzz. The Bottle and Glass (Binfield) - same owners as Hart Street Tavern. Rural setting. Bistro at the Boathouse, Luscombes - both fine dining. The Spice Merchant - a la carte Asian food. Golf - several courses locally such as Henley, Badgemore Park, Temple. Boat Hire - Hobbs of Henley have day cruisers and longer term hire. Walking/hiking - many lovely countryside strolls available on numerous public footpaths. Cycling - many cyclists love the Chilterns as it's relatively free from traffic. Wine tasting - at the Chiltern winery which runs tours. 10 mins walk. You'll definitely need a car, motorcycle, cycle or use taxis. The washing machine and tumble dryer are in an adjacent room. Just request a key if required. There is parking for a maximum of 2 cars.
