Casa Nikki was developed for our family to have all the modern comforts and amenities in an alpine setting. Our location offers peace, quiet, access to hillside orchards, pastures, pine forests and mountain trails. We are located in the village of Poarta in the township of Bran, a 20 minute walk from the Bran Castle and a 30 minute drive to the historic center of Brasov. Our home is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). Casa Nikki was designed and built and utilized by its owner as a for family holidays. The property is accessed by an asphalt road and within an enclosed & secure complex with five other homes. The property benefits from a 1.000 sqm plus garden perfect for sun bathing and children. There are two car parking spaces. The house has a 60 sqm terrace with a view of Piatra Criului Mountains. The open plan ground floor dinning/living and kitchen have a largewood burning fireplace with windows and doors facing the terrace. The Ground floor also includes a bedroom with full bath, two entrance lobbies (with mud rooms) a guest toilet and a laundry room with washer/dryer. The first floor has a master bedroom with full bath plus two additional bedrooms sharing a full bathroom. The house is heated with a gas boiler and has both floor heating and radiators. The house benefits from a fiber optic cable providing highspeed internet and cable TV. A basement with independent access includes an apartment for the owner plus ski/bike/mountain equipment/kids toy storage. Guests will enjoy full access to the estate and house excluding the basement. The house is fully furnished with linens and basic toiletries. The kitchen is fully equiped with modern cooking equipment, cuttlery and dishware for dinning room with 12 place settings. The living room includes a library of both English/Romanian books and DVDs. The terrace/garden have lounge chairs, picnik table with chairs, sun shades a barbeque and a stone campfire. In the event that more than two car parking spaces would be required the owner can arrange off-site parking. The owner is available upon request to assist guests whilst in residence subject to commercial agreement. The owner can arrange transport from airports and train stations and or car rentals. The owner is experienced in provide meal plans, catering for special events/local cuisine and grocery shopping (including home grown farm products from the neighborhood). The owner can also offer one-off or multi-day cultural, touristic and mountain sports guiding (hiking, treking mountain running, rock climbing, mountain/road bicycling, horseback riding, alpine, cross country and ski touring). Top of the line sporting equipment can also be rented. The owner speaks English/Romanian/German fluently and has a compentency in Hungarian. The property is situated in the hills above Valley Poarta of Bran. The neighborhood is inhabited primarily by local famers with fruit orchards and dairy pastures. The neighborhood is quiet and secluded from the hustle & bustle of the Bran touristical zone. The estate is 3.5 km from the Bran Castle and 600 meters from the Zanoaga ski piste/sledding hill and 1 km from the principal junction of hikking trails into the Bucegi Mountains. There are also numerous stone roads and agricultural paths in the vicinity of the property through the neighborhood, orchards, pastures and forrests which are appropriate for leisurely and senic walking, jogging, biking, sleigh rides. The estate has been set-out facing west and enjoys a splendid view of the Piatra Craiului Mountains. The Bucegi mountains, directly to the east, can also be viewed from the garden and neighboring pastures. The house is accessible year round via an asphalt road leading from Strada Valea Poarta. The house is a 5 minute car ride or a 25 minute walk from the Bran Castle and town center. The closest international class supermarket- Mega Image is at a distance of less than a 10 minutes by car. The Wolf Spa and Swiming pool is also at a distance of less than 10 minutes by car. The City of Brasov is also at a distance of 30 minutes by car. Bran can also be reached by public bus service originating in Brasov. Transit from Bucharest Otopeni Airport to Bran via car requires approximately 2.5-3 hours. The travel time from Bran to the Poiana Brasov ski resort is approximately 20- 25 minutes. The owner is available to arrange transport services or car rentals upon request and commercial agreement. The owner and his family are Romanian-Americans who have lived and traveled globally. We are passionate about the mountains and utilise our home as a base for training, competing and recovering. We well connected with the local cultures of Bran, Brasov and Transylvania. We are very much at home in Bran and its suroundings.
