The house is a unique architectural mansion of Ikaria, which for 120 years captivates visitors due to the elaborate murals that adorn its interior and its history. Built in 1897 by a wholesale merchant of the time, still remains an architectural gem in the heart of Evdilos. Located on the most romantic paved old pedestrian street of the village, is 5min walking to the port, near marina's taverns and cafes and to "Spasmata" beach. A vintage shelter for a unique accommodation experience. It is a 100 sq.m flat on the upper floor of a stone built house that is ideal for families and groups as it can accommodate up to six people. It consists of three bedrooms (two of them are connected with a door). There is one bedroom with double bed, a bedroom with two single beds and a bedroom with a single bed (a crib is also available if needed). The large living room has a big table where you can enjoy your meals and a sofa which can be converted into a bed. A fully equipped kitchen with oven, local olive oil and herbs is also available for your cooking and a bathroom. There is also a balcony covered by the leaves of a big plane tree, where you can have relaxing moments with view to the old pedestrian street. Its privileged location combines the tranquility and the wonderful walks on cobblestone street with easy access to the picturesque harbor. The location gives visitors immediate access to the port (5min walking) and the marina of Evdilos where you can find a lot of touristic facilites as far as traditional coffee shops and taverns. Also "Smasmata" "Fitema" and Fles" are walking distance beaches from the house. The stone walls (80cm thick), wooden floor and wooden interior walls keep the house cool in summer forming ideal temperatures for a pleasant stay. The maintenance of the building materials since its construction and the unchanged elaborate decoration of named artist murals from Izmir, form a unique atmosphere and accommodation experience. Guests can have access to all spaces in the house. We welcome you at the house and we always share our best tips for restaurants, seasides and local fairs giving you an insight to the island, from a local's point of view. Apart from welcoming we don't bother you with our presence any more until the day you leave, unless you need our assistance. Before you leave make sure you don't forget any personal belongings! Evdilos is built amphitheatrically upon a small hill and its name means visible and freely rendered open horizon. It is the second port of the island and the center of northern, central, and western Ikaria. Evdilos is perfect for those who are looking for relaxing places near the sea and walks in narrow paved lanes and also an ideal base for wonderful excursions into the Ikarian countryside and beaches. There are also a lot of traditional coffee shops and taverns, super markets, small shops, pharmacy, touristic agencies and car rental that will serve every need. The picturesque small port and the pier with the old mansions and narrow roads, the paved steps, and the traditional and modern houses ornamented with many flowers forms an architecturally interesting village which reveals the artistic feeling of the inhabitants and the love for their land. Evdilos has "Smasmata" beach wich is 5min walking from the house where the sea is always calm and is a very friendly beach for kids. Also "Fitema" and "Fles" are walking distance beaches from the house.
