'The Stable'

'The Stable' is newly extended and renovated space which has it's own entrance and separate patio. It is in a great location - only one mile from Romsey which has a variety of things to do and great places to eat. Julie and Ian can be around to give you advice on the area, having lived in Romsey for 30 years or, if you prefer, this is the place to just come, relax and enjoy without any interruptions. it has a lounge, bedroom and shower room. We have a welcome pack of tea and coffee and some milk in the mini fridge to help you settle into the Stable. We do not have a kitchen but have a fridge and microwave and a place where you can put a disposable BBQ on the patio. Julie and Ian are both avid tennis players and so spend most evenings playing at the local clubs. However we are always just up the driveway if there are any questions or queries that arise during your stay. Romsey has a really lovely feel to it and a lot of sights including Romsey Abbey and King John's House museum. The people are very friendly and there are a few local pubs that do exceptional food. Romsey is a historic market town, and is central in location to Southampton, Winchester, Salisbury, The New Forest, Lymington and Portsmouth. There is a local train station in Romsey which will take you into Southampton, Winchester or New Forest should you want to visit the landmarks there. It is difficult to walk from here into Romsey as we are on the main A27 road but there are good walking routes not far away and the New Forest close by where you can find some lovely walks and places to eat etc. We are very sorry but due to the Covid crisis - we no longer do breakfast at the Stable but there is still milk, tea, coffee and biscuits put out to welcome you.
