A 3 bedroomed holiday cottage, it is the perfect base for a staycation in the Derbyshire dales experiencing the whole home for your guests only. With parking to the side of the property, again for your use only it is important to note that the driveway does not have a dropped kerb to access. Guests staying at Wayside can enjoy access to all parts of the house. The driveway is for your use only but does not have a dropped kerb. I am available for contact by email and phone. Follow us on (Hidden by Airbnb) & (Hidden by Airbnb) ; @waysidepeakdistrict Stoney Middleton is a fabulous base for exploring the Peak District with the fabulous Moon Inn at the centre of the village offering Real Ales, over 50 types of gin and scrumptious home made meals. The village also hosts the well renowned and award winning Tollbar Fish & Chip shop and we wouldn’t blame you if you slipped into their front door instead of Waysides at the end of a good long walk! Not only that, and would you believe it in such a small village, Wayside is also only a few doors down from The Curry Cottage at Lovers Leap, a wonderful Indian restaurant and takeaway. Eyam is only a short walk over the cliff behind Wayside or you could walk past the Roman Baths in the village through the fields to Curbar. If you want to walk further, get yourselves to Chatsworth, Padley Gorge or on top of Curbar Edge, you’ll love it whatever you do! There is a car parking at Wayside, however the kerb leading onto the drive is not dropped and should be accessed with care. Stoney Middleton is on the bus route with a bus stop 500yds from the front door. The closest train station is Grindleford and taxis can be booked prior to arrival to Stoney Middleton from the station. (I would definitely wait with a drink at The Maynard outside the station as a treat to start your stay!) Wayside is based at the side of the A623. Whilst this makes access to the property from all forms of transport particularly easy for the Peak District it does mean that there is not the same quietness found in more rural parts on the Derbyshire Dales. Fire packs can be bought pre-arrival for the multi-fuel burner in our self-catering cottage, please get in touch for further details.
