Set on the southern coast of the island of Kefalonia, this spacious brand new villa was designed and built to provide the ultimate elegance and luxury. The location is simply stunning! There are views all around that include the majestic Mount Aenos, one of the ten National Parks in Greece and a bird’s eye view of the deep turquoise waters and glorious sunset of the Ionian Sea. There is a beach 50 meters from the villa that is connected by a private footpath. The villa which was completed in 2008 and was refurbished in 2016, features 5 star facilities such as walk-in wardrobe, air conditioning, the latest smart home technology, Satellite TV with large 60” LED screen and high speed wireless internet. There is a large exclusive infinity swimming pool surrounded by sun lounges and parasols, an external BBQ/bar area that includes a traditional oven for baking home bread or pizza. The well maintained garden has a fruit and vegetable allotment that is for visitors use only. A quaint chapel has been built near the private footpath that leads to the beach. On the grounds of Villa Quarda we can host wedding receptions of up to 150 people! There are several traditional taverns and restaurants that offer excellent dining choices within an easy walk. You can order from fresh fish to local or international dishes. There are 2 mini markets that offer a wide range of food, drinks and supplies to make your stay comfortable without the need to go to the main town. There are also bars that offer draught beer, cocktails, local wine and spirits and a relaxed atmosphere for your evenings. If you want to stay close to the villa, you can stroll the 120 meters down to a private sandy beach via a private footpath. You can walk down to our exclusive beach or drive to the nearest beach which is 5 minutes away by car. There you will find 2 fish taverns and a beach bar as well as sun beds and sea bikes to rent and a life guard on duty at certain hours. Property Description: This delightful two-storey villa, 230m2 in size and built in traditional Kefalonian architectural style, has four bedrooms on the ground floor that consist of an extra large double bed en-suite with a walk-in wardrobe, a double and two twin bedrooms. The double bedrooms and one of the twin bedrooms, have patio doors leading to a shared balcony. The fourth bedroom is a spacious twin, usually occupied as children bedroom or staff bedroom for quests who wish to bring their own domestic staff to Villa Quarda. It has two spaces, its own bathroom, a/c, but only one side wall window and a door leading to the garden level. There is a separate mosaic tiled bathroom on the ground floor as well. The villa is designed to sleep up to eight people and when necessary extra beds and a cot can be provided at an extra charge. A utility room is also available that includes a washing machine, iron and board. The top floor is an open plan space with glass patio doors leading to a massive and furnished balcony overlooking the pool and Avithos beach. It consists of a large fully equipped kitchen with a unique decoration that would delight the yachting fraternity. With a wooden work surface, granite floors, fridge freezer, 5-ring cooker, grill, extractor fan, dishwasher, microwave, 2 zone wine cooler, coffee maker and toaster a haven exists to prepare those culinary delights. The neighboring dining room area will comfortably seat 6-8 people before retiring to the spacious living room with massive 60-inch plasma TV Screen with Satellite, DVD Player, stereo, Internet access and a selection of reading material and music. A separate bathroom is also available on this floor. The furnishings, fittings and fabrics have been selected to compliment the dreamy aura of the location. There is air conditioning throughout that will guarantee comfort. For guests who wish to stay over the winter period there is also central heating and a wood-burning fireplace. With a large upstairs balcony, a seated patio area in the garden there will be plenty of opportunity to relax and enjoy the mountain and sea views whilst enjoying a glass of your local favorite wine. The villa also possesses a private infinity pool 9m x 4m, a stony BBQ kiosk with a wood fired oven, an outdoor dinette under a canopy tent and a private verdant path (140m.) leading down to "Vardiola" sandy beach . Corporate, Wedding or Event Hosting Opportunity Villa Quarda is self-contained and offers privacy for a family holiday. For wedding parties or large groups, there are two private and neighboring properties that combined provide an ideal setting for a celebration or corporate event. Guests can share two or three villas with a combined sleeping capacity extending to 20 people. There is a quaint chapel where wedding ceremonies and receptions have already been held and can accommodate up to 150 people. Collectively, the villas are known as Vardiola Villas. Villa Quarda, near the village of Svoronata and many other villages, has many shops, tavernas, car hire companies, historical walks and organised excursions within close vicinity. Svoronata is located on the south west coast and provides an excellent base to explore the many beauty spots in Kefalonia. There is also easy access to our capital Argostoli to enable you to spend an evening of entertainment, boutiques and designer shops or simply ‘people watch’ in the main square as you enjoy a glass of excellent local wine. Talking of wine, for the wine enthusiasts amongst us, a complementary wine tasting tour trip can be arranged at Gentilini Wines. The ‘Agia Pelagia’ yachting marina is located only 4km from Villa Quarda and will prove of assistance to our guests from the yachting fraternity. For wedding parties or large groups who wish to book two or three villas at the same time a special discount will be allowed. Unless otherwise agreed, the villa can only be occupied from 3pm on arrival date and must be vacated by 11am on departure day. A 50% deposit will be required to secure a booking with the balance being paid 30 days prior to the arrival date.
