Beautiful countryside house near the river Danube!

Beautiful countryside house at the Danube river, 50 km north of Budapest. Located in a picturesque village in the Knee of the Danube, with great view on the Visegrad hills and Castle and the Danube. 300 m walk to the river and beach and great opportunities for hiking into the Börzsöny hills. Also biking along the Danube is great pleasure. There are two bikes at the house and you can rent more in the village. The house is one hundred years old and we had it completely renovated in 2015. We have a total floorspace of 200m2. We raised the roof, so that there is a first floor with a master bedroom with a balcony and view on the river Daunbe and the Visegrad Castle plus another bedroom and a beautiful large bathroom. Downstairs when you enter the entrance hall you find a huge kitchen to the right and the beautifully decorated living room to the left, with a 2000 lp collection and excellent record player and a lap TV. Behind the kitchen is a little hidden storage room with an extra fridge and a washer/dryer, microwave, the central heating unit and the cleaning equipments. Next to that is another bathroom with shower and toilet. Outside there is a 200m2 green garden with very well kept grass, trees and plants, mainly roses. Left from the entrance door is a beautiful veranda with traditional furniture where 6-8 people can eat easily and comfortably. That is the place for smokers as well. At the back of the garden there is a 10m x 4m open shed that we had rebuild and that we use sometimes as painting studio, sometimes as a work out space with basic sport equipments a big mirror and 1 hammock. The whole place feels a bit like an artist residency inToscana. We live in Budapest and use the house as our country side retrieve. When you are staying there the whole house and the whole outside space are available to you. We are always available. Public transportation is excellent between Budapest and Nagymaros. There is a train at every hour. Our station is called Nagymaros Visegrad, as there is ferry connection here to Visegrad. Also with car is 50 minutes drive from Budapest. You can also take a ship to arrive to Nagymaros from Budapest and you can continue to Vienna. It is a great experience.
