Tentrr Signature Site - Nuthatch
Summary: This lovely camp, set on a wooded hillside among old apple and maple trees, overlooks a meadow with a view of the distant Adirondack mountains. It is located on over 180 acres of private land for walking, swimming and with several trails for light hiking or mountain biking. A 10-minute walk down an old woods road gets you to a private secluded valley pond you can swim in or watch (if you're lucky and quiet) blue heron fishing. If you want to go out, it's only 3 miles from Browns Brewery and Pub (excellent craft beers and meals) beautifully located on the Walloomsac River, or just 6 miles to Bennington, Vermont with its 3 covered bridges, restaurants and shops. Bennington has the second tallest obelisk in the US (the Washington monument is the tallest) that commemorates the Battle of Bennington (fought 8/16/1777). You can visit the battlegrounds at the Bennington Battle Historic State Park (actually located in Walloomsac, NY), only 5 miles away. Wood available. The Space: Our campsite is located on 180 private acres! Great views, swimming, hiking, biking, and more! Other Things to Note: Bring your leash for your dogs, for their safety and the property owners. There have also been black bears on rare occasion. Please bring bug repellent for ticks and check yourself after walks.
