Trelowarren mill, a beautiful three bedroom detached house in an idyllic setting
The house has three double bedrooms, one of which has a king-size bed, the other two have two singles each. There is a large kitchen /dinning room. A large sitting room, with wood burning stove and a second smaller sitting room. There is one bathroom upstairs and a downstairs shower and WC room. Trelowarren Mill is nestled into the side of a wooded valley above Mawgan creek near the head of the picturesque Helford River, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The house is approached via a private drive and there is parking for 2/3 cars. The 1/2 acre garden is divided into three areas, a patio garden with table and chairs at the south facing front of the house, there is an area of lawn accessed through a gate and a large steep sloped orchard/wild meadow area running up the side of the house with enchanting views over the wooded valley below. The house is an excellent base from which to explore and enjoy the Lizard peninsula. We are well placed in the charming village of Mawgan which is only a couple of miles from the historic market town of Helston, and within a short drive of several fantastic beaches. The nearest beaches are Church cove and Poldhu, and a little further afield is the spectacular Kynance cove and the charming fishing village of Coverack. The charming village of Helford, Helford river and the gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan are also within easy reach. Mawgan village has it's own well stocked local shop and post office selling a good variety of local produce. There is also a warm and friendly pub serving top quality food and drink. Please note the mill is no longer part of the Trelowarren estate, and is now privately owned.
