Salterford Dam is a family run setting on the edge of Sherwood Forest, famous for Robin Hood and the Major Oak. Catering for adults only this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Surrounded by tranquil woodland, a wealth of wildlife and with lakeside walks for you to enjoy you will go home feeling truly refreshed. Magnolia lodge is our new luxury mobile home with central heating and double glazing to ensure year round comfort. There are 16 acres of woodland and lakes for you to explore, complimented by lovely nearby walks. The site is extremely peaceful and a haven for nature lovers. There are 2 pubs in the village of Oxton which can be accessed via footpaths from the site. Nottingham city centre is approximately 10 miles away with all its attractions and amenities. We are an ideal base for a number of National Trust properties and the visitors centre in Sherwood Forest. For the golf enthusiast there are 5 courses in close proximity. Guests have access to all 16 acres of our property. The accommodation is about 15 metres from our freshly stocked 1 acre Coarse fishing lake, exclusively for guests staying on our site. We've included 1 fishing peg for you during your stay. If you require another peg they are available at £7 per day. In front of the accommodation is a lovely grass area with a fire pit available for your use and plenty of seating. Although i am not often on site i can be contacted at any time via airbnb messages Our site is perfectly situated just off the A614 (Old Rufford Road) Also known as the Leisure Highway of Nottinghamshire. It stretches from the A1 all the way to Nottingham, and within close reach of junction 27 of the M1 motorway it provides good access to all the great varied attractions the area has to offer.
