Honeysuckle Cottage - A romantic rural retreat

Walk, cycle, picnic in the nearby Alpes Mancelles. Visit medieval St Ceneri de Gerei or Saint Suzanne. Le Mans is an hour away This is a rural place where you can enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside, whilst not being too far from nearby villages, shops and good places to eat. We live on site with our three horses and two small dogs. There is a natural spring and stream on the property, so there is always the soothing sound of the water moving gently nearby. The fields and garden provide lots of hidden places where you can be absorbed in nature and read, write, draw, paint. There are many excellent markets in nearby villages where you can find locally grown food. Les Alpes Mancelles, an area of outstanding natural beauty, is a 20 minute drive away, Sille Le Guillaume forest with its man-made beach and sailing centre is 15 minutes away and Le Mans is an hour away. You are welcome to enjoy the garden and terrace with its lovely views. There are other secret hideaways around the two hectares of land where you can also sit. Unfortunately we are not able to accept children under 12 or pets. We live on site and you will see us as we tend to the garden and land, but we won't disturb you. We are available to respond to any questions which you need help with. Our home is shared with many kinds of birds and wildlife. You might see deer, coypu, red squirrels, herons and many different small and large birds. The sparrows who nest in the vines are particularly entertaining and you will often hear the visiting cuckoos calling. There is no public transport so a car or other means of transport is essential. The nearest village is 3 km away with bakery and for more shops 4km away. Please note that this is a non smoking property. Smoking is not permitted inside or outside in the garden.
