Back in Thyme
In the heart of the Constable Country, on the Essex Way, nestled amongst farmers fields and woodland you will find our newly opened shepherds hut, Back in Thyme. A perfect balance of rustic and contemporary, Back in Thyme provides a rural get away with all the modern comforts. Smart TV, heating, power shower, outdoor private hot tub and plenty of parking. It is positioned 5 minutes from anA12 link, 10 minutes from Colchester town and less than an hour from London. This is a self contained newly opened shepherds hut, with patio area, hot tub and parking located in the grounds of a 22 acre rural farm with alpacas, horses, Pygmy goats, chickens and peacocks situated right beside Essex Way. Unfortunately this is not one of our properties that is suitable for pets or children. The guests can walk anywhere on the grounds of the 25 acre farm except for the fenced private areas of other Airbnb accommodation or the main farm house You will not meet with anyone at the property but if you can’t reach us via Airbnb or phone and it’s an emergency, please feel free to come find one of us in the main reception area. Back in Thyme is positioned perfectly next to our duck pond where you can sit in the hot tub and look out into the stars. A car is advised, there is a regular bus service 5 minutes walk from the farm into Colchester, which passes the mainline train station into London (40minutes train journey into London Liverpool Street) Our check in time is usually 4pm as we give ourselves a larger window to rectify any hot tub or property issues from the previous guests. We do try our hardest to have the lodges ready for 2/2:30pm so please keep an eye on your AirBnB messages on check in day as you will be notified as soon as the property is ready with all your information needed to gain access. Our check out time is 10am unless otherwise arranged.
