It has a good selection of restaurants, small shops and cafes. Just 15 minutes drive away are the spectacular beaches of Achmelvich and Clachtoll. If you like walking there are a number of great routes both easy and of a more challenging nature (climbing Suilvenl, Quinag or Ben More Assynt for example). Sailing, canoeing, kayaking, cycling, fishing and climbing are all available locally. There are 200 or so lochans in the area which makes the place very popular with anglers too. You can of course just fish from the rocks below the house. There are a number of suggested locations where you may be able to spot particular wildlife, including deer, seals, otters, pine Martin, heron, the occasional eagle as well as a variety of interesting fauna. Almost daily you will spot deer in our croft. We are just two miles from the village where you will find small local shops and high quality restaurants. The large fish market is probably the villages main focus. Other tourist attractions include Highland Stoneware, one of the Highland’s most successful and distinctive potteries. Usually by car.....we are situated just two miles from the village. Mind the sheep of course! Ullapool, the nearest small town, is 45 miles away. An alternative route is the unbelievable windy road to Achiltibuie (not for caravans or motor homes) but keep your eyes on the road. Leave your passengers to describe the beauty of the coastal landscape. A nice walk immediately from Craigann is simply to walk into the village. It is along a single track road and will take just 30 minutes. Going the opposite way you can walk to Inverkirkaig which has a beautiful beach and spectacular views. Another 200 metres on, there is a bookshop with cafe which is worth a visit Please see our website at (Website hidden by Airbnb) Due to Covid-19 we will be following Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance.
