Peartree Lodge is a newly converted detached 1 bedroom annexe, adjacent to the main house. With brand-new furniture and fittings throughout, it has been converted to the highest specification to suit even the most discerning guests. Peartree Lodge is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac close to Cambourne Nature Reserve and offers private off-road parking on a gated driveway. Being close to the historic city of Cambridge, it is the perfect place to stay whether on business or exploring the area. Peartree Lodge is a modern, spacious detached 1 bedroom annexe, occupying an elevated position above a detached triple garage, and residing in a quiet cul-de-sac location. From its own private entrance, the stairs lead up to a spacious, bright room incorporating a living area, dining area and full kitchen. There is also a separate king-size bedroom and luxurious ensuite shower room. Lounge/dining area This area provides ample space with dining table and (4) chairs, a large comfortable sofa-bed (which converts into a double bed) and a large wall mounted smart TV with DVD player. Kitchen The fully fitted kitchen has a fan assisted oven, ceramic hob, microwave, integrated dishwasher and fridge with small freezer compartment. All usual culinary items are provided, as are a kettle and toaster. Tea and coffee etc will be provided along with fresh milk on arrival. Bedroom There is a king-size bed, with bedside tables/drawers and a wardrobe. A hairdryer is provided, along with bed linen and towels. Shower Room There is a spacious rain-shower, with heated towel rail, toilet and sink with vanity unit. High speed WiFi is available throughout. An ironing board and iron are also provided. Parking is available on the gated driveway to the lodge. There is a bus stop literally a minute walk away with regular buses into Cambridge and St Neots. We live in the main house adjacent to the lodge and will be available at most times during guest stays. We would like to welcome guests on arrival if possible and help with any questions they may have and advise on any amenities in the surrounding areas. Cambourne is an idyllic new community in the heart of Cambridgeshire, surrounded by over 600 acres of stunning wildlife trust land (including 4 lakes) which is perfect for recreation, walks and cycling. It is perfectly located for access to the historic University city of Cambridge and the market towns of Huntingdon and St Neots. The A14, A1 and M11 motorways are all a short distance away, as are the main line commuter train stations of Cambridge, St Neots and Royston which serve London on a regular basis, so Cambourne is perfectly placed in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside for both business and leisure. Cambourne consists of three villages, Great Cambourne, Lower Cambourne and Upper Cambourne. In the heart of Great Cambourne there is a centrally located High Street which provides a broad mix of High Street shops. There is a Morrisons Supermarket and petrol station, a Home Bargains Store, a Dry Cleaners, the Monkfield Arms, a Chinese takeaway, a Fish and Chip Shop, and an Indian restaurant which also provides takeaways. There is also a really great coffee shop called Greens which serves tasty breakfasts, lunches and yummy cakes! The 4* Doubletree by Hilton Cambridge Belfry Hotel is also in the village with a popular bar and restaurant. There is a bus stop literally on the main road just around the corner with buses running into Cambridge every 20 mins during the day and cycling routes all the way into Cambridge. Peartree Lodge is also ideally located for Cambourne Business Park, which is literally a five minute walk away. The Country Park is located right behind the main house, making easy access for guests to walk around the surrounding countryside. Not suitable for very young children as there is no stair gate provided.
