Lovely double room , free parking .

Our lovely chalet bungalow is on the edge of the South Downs National Park & only a 10 minute bus ride from central Brighton, in the village of Woodingdean. We are also only a 5 minute car journey from the University of Sussex campus. Our ground floor double room includes a desk, wardrobe & drawer space. There is also sole use of the of the newly refurbished downstairs bathroom/wc including bath & shower, on the same floor. There is a comfortable conservatory area adjoining the kitchen which guests are welcome to use for relaxing and a lovely west facing garden when the British climate allows We will be here to welcome guests and can be contacted for help or information at any time to try to make your stay more enjoyable. Woodingdean is a quiet village just outside Brighton with great views of the sea and the Downs . The National Park, with fantastic walking and cycle routes, is literally less than a minute away from our front door. The village also offers 3 takeaways, 2 cafes a very good deli and a pub but Brighton obviously offers all you might want in exciting eating, culture and entertainment , both mainstream and alternative. We are also conveniently placed for anyone wishing to visit the University of Sussex, for example if you are dropping off or visiting your student son/daughter. We are also very conveniently close to the Nuffield hospital if you have friends or relatives to visit. There are excellent bus routes into the centre of Brighton taking approx. 10 minutes ( No. 2 & 22 ) , to and from Brighton station (No. 22) and to the pretty seaside village of Rottingdean (No 2). Coming back from town they finish around midnight or before so you may need to use taxis after this. It is possible to reach the University by bus which would involve 2 buses,or 10 minutes by car. Going to town there is a local taxi service (Tel : (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) ) & we can offer off- road parking. We suggest using public transport as parking charges in Brighton are crippling. There is a very new cycle track (finished Sept 2015) 1 minute from the house which links with the South Downs way & via the "Falmer Link" to the University. We can also offer secure storage for bikes & access to Wi-Fi. We have a small dog and 1 cat who are very friendly. We can offer either a light "tea, cereal and toast" type breakfast or for a little extra a full English.
