The ZANZIBAR region: Visitors can explore the heritage and history of the famous Stone Town, now designated a World Heritage Site. This includes visits to the city market, the old Anglican Church located on the site of the old Slave Market and the National Museum of Zanzibar. Later visits to the Old British Consulate, the Old Fort dating back since 1700, House of Wonders and Livingstone House give visitors an insight into Zanzibar rich history. Leisurely walks through the winding alleys and narrow streets will take you to the small exotic bazaars and local curio shops passing along remarkable carved wooden doors where Zanzibar is also known for . Spice Plantations and Farms : Visits to the spice plantations will dazzle your senses with fresh spices. On the way visitors can stop at the old Sultan Rest House to view the Persian Baths built in 1850 by the first Sultan of Zanzibar for his wife Princess Shehzard. All bedrooms have air-conditioning and their own private terrace.
