Ons geweldige vakantiehuis is herbouwd na in de 1e wereldoorlog plat te zijn geschoten. € 59,00/night/ 2x1 bed, minimum 2 nights, incl. breakfast, With own shower/steam cabin and toilet. The suite is on the first floor, with our other 3 bedrooms for rent, but the suite is the only one with it's own bathroom. (Website hidden by Airbnb) It's a big holliday house, nice and easy. We have guests for 1 or more nights and it's possible to eat with us in the evenings. Most important space in the summer is the terras just near the river "Meuse". Our guests are free to stay in their rooms and diner, and it's optical (or when it's cold) in our private living with tv. We stay in the same house iff you need us. We like to start your stay with us with a welkom-drink and like to have dinner with our guest and have a big conversation. We love to stay here because of the space and nature, the rest and stress-free live. What else do we need when we sit on the terras with a nice cup of coffee and a beautiful vieuw at the river. The only worry is that we should have diner for tonight and that easy with a bread and some cheese....... On foot, on horseback, or by bike or mountain bike, the roads in Meuse attract all who love getting away to the country. There are endless, fascinating tracks through idyllic scenery, where you will come across exquisite views, and exceptional sites where art, history and local tradition all give of their test. Our little village is located at the northern side of the brutal battlegrounds of the First World War: Verdun, Morthommes and Argonne. After 80 years the forests and fields are still recognized as battlefield due to the trenches and craters. State-owned forests, tunnels, campsites and fortifications show now days the life of the soldiers who bodies are buried on the numerous fields of honour. Meuse: Land of Remembrance. From far back in time, History has left its powerful stamp on the Meuse, land of memories. From North to South, from East to West, the historical and cultural heritage bears witness to this, charged with emotion and provoking reflection. A destiny that was to reach its dramatic apogee in the Great War. Several times a day there's a bus going to Verdun or Stenay/Sedan. You can take your bike with you. There's a big parking next to the house. We're not a hotel with a staff but hope that our guests feel at home. Your gently dogs are very welkom, but not to stay in the bed or at the table when it's dinner time.
