Large seafront retreat - pier, fishing, boatrental

You will have full access to the whole downstairs apartment of 125m2 in total. 3 bedrooms and a large living room stands at your disposal. Outside you have your own private backyard with lots of outdoor games. From the pier you can fish, rent boat or swim. There is a 98l freezer box where you can store the fish you catch or any other food. If the weather is poor, you have the indoor pool/table-tennis table & lots of indoor games to enjoy, or you can chill out in front of the TV or surf the net. The house is located at Erdalsneset on Askøy 20 min drive from downtown Bergen. The house is situated on the water front and has a private pier just 20m down from the backyard. Here you can fish or toss in the crab pod and catch your own dinner that you can prepare in the house! We have a few fishing rods and bait that our guests can use. There is lots of nice walking/hiking paths and tracks around in the local area. Just ask us if you want some tips on where you can go for a hike. Full access to the separate basement floor of 125m2 with your own private entrance and backyard garden. You also have full access to our private pier which is just 20m from the backyard. We have 3 single adult kayaks, one smaller kayak for kids of smaller adults and one tandem sit-on-top kayak (5 seats in total) available to rent for 150NOK per day per kayak (250 NOK for the tandem kayak) for people who are accustomed to handling themselves on the water. You will find all the equipment needed for kayaking in the outdoor shed in the backyard. We often use the kayaks ourselves, so please contact us to book the kayaks for when you want to use them, and we will try to make them available for you. Alternatively, when I am available (usually after 16:00 on weekdays), I can come with you for a ~1.5 hour long guided kayak trip which will then cost 500kr per person up to a max of 1500 NOK utilizing all 5 kayaks. We also have two blow up SUP boards for rental for 150 NOK per board per day. We have a a 14 foot fishing boat with a 9.9Hp engine. This boat is certified for up to 5 adults and has a top speed of 18 knots. The boat can be rented for 600NOK per day, 1500NOK for 3 days & 2500 NOK per week. Petrol usage comes in addition. The boat used 4 liters per hour on full speed. You don't need any boating license to operate the boat. The boat is moored up at our private pier. We also have a designated desk/table with a sink where you can gut and rinse any fish you get. We have wide range of life wests for all sizes for you to use. Cruises: We have a 29 fot (& 3m wide) Quicksilver 905 PilotHouse (2017 model) boat which you can rent with me as your local guide. The boat will cost 2000 NOK to rent for the first hours plus an additional charge of 750NOK per subsequent hour. Petrol usage comes in addition. The boat consumes ~2.5 liters per nautical mile (nm) and petrol cost 17-18 NOK per liter The boat is moored up on the west coast of Askøy 20 minutes drive from our home. From there it takes only 20 min by boat to the open ocean west of Sotra & Øygarden where you can fish, do watersports, sightseeing in one of the many scenic bays of just enjoy a cruise along the coast side. To save on petrol costs you can combine the trip with mooring up at one of the numerous bays on the coast side for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking (we have two blow up kayaks in the boat), tubing/waterski behind the boat or exploring the land around the bays or one of the quaint guest harbors. We have several wet suits of different sizes and two dry suits (size L and XL) for watersports that you can borrow to use when the waters are a bit cooler. The small island of Geitung is a favorite which is just 10 minutes by boat and main part of the island can be explored on a 30-45 min walk before one can head off on the boat again. There is also a small restaurant at the guest harbor on the Geitung island. The boat is excellent for fishing purposes with its large open deck at the back, a large separate fishing station with basin to gut and clean your fish, a tank for bait and a large tank for storage of your fish catch. There is also lots of fishing rod holders on the boat and you can easily walk around the from the back to the front. We will do our best to accommodate your wishes for a boating trip, but we are at the mercy of the weather condition playing along with us. My wife and I live on the upstairs floor with our two kids, a daughter of 5 years of age and a son of 10 years of age. If you travel around on public transport the nearest bus stop is a 5 min walk from our house. Buses go to downtown Bergen every 30m minutes. You can find information on the buses and plan your bus trip from the following Skyss web page or the Skyss app which is avaliable on Appe or Andriod. Just type in our house address, Erdalsneset 38 and where you want to go to and from. The apartment has its own entrance and the separate from the living unit above. So it can be safely utilized to to sit out your CoVid quarantine. We have a large water filtering system set up in the house. All water runs through this system which kills 99.99% of all bacteria. So the water is perfectly safe to drink from any taps. There is a small beach 5min walk from the house that is perfect for families with small kids. No loud parties are allowed as we want to keep a good relationship with our neighbors. Otherwise you are pretty much free to enjoy your stay at our place as you see fit. The bathroom has been fully renovated in December 2018 and includes a separate WC room and the bathroom will contain a spa bathtub with air and water massaging. The Byfjorden is a bit polluted and it is not recommended to eat any bottom dwelling fish like eel or crabs from the area from the Marina just south of us and towards the city. But any other fish which which dont spend most of the time at the seabed is safe to eat.
