Owners live next door and manage the rental themselves for direct accountability. Rule 1 is that guests report any problems straight away. For you there is : fully equipped modern kitchen, lounge, large wet room /shower, dining room and outside seating area plus however many bedrooms you have booked up to 4. WHEN REQUESTING TO BOOK PLEASE CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE READ THE FULL LISTING. Sunnyville is a completely self contained house which is cleaned and sanitised to the highest standards. We live in the house next door and provide a Covid aware welcome to you in person and give you the keys while you choose your bedroom(s). Serviced accommodation can include emptying the bins/ recycling, clean bedlinen and towels may be provided weekly or as agreed. We are on hand should you need us and to ensure the accommodation is up to standard at all times. We run New Holland Hen Rescue from the gardens here. Fresh free range eggs from our ex-battery hens are available on site. We also have four free ranging cats! The cats are not allowed to go in Sunnyville however, if possible please. New Holland is a very quiet village but very well located for lots of locations including Immingham, Hull, Scunthorpe, Grimsby all of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. We are about 15 minutes drive from Humberside Airport. Sunnyville is in a very small, quiet village just minutes away from the major road and rail networks. North Lincolnshire is within easy reach of Yorkshire, its 90 minutes drive to the Yorkshire Moors and Dales, Derbyshire Dales a little further but accessable. The East Linconshire coastline is fascinating as is "Bomber County". We are surrounded by former military WW2 bases. The River Humber is the main driving force around these parts naturally. Here on the South Bank blue clay was discovered and soon kilns were a major part of local industry. The South Bank of the Humber is dotted with clay pits large and small. Finished goods - tiles and bricks could easily be transported to Victorian and Edwardian London via boat during the expansion of London in the 19th and 20th centuries during the great expanse of London. Only two of the original clay kilns still work. They only produce tiles and bricks for renovations of Grade Listed building now. It is reputed that Windsor Castle had local craftsmen help after the terrible fire in 1992. The other reason New Holland is known for is its Railway history and transport links. For over 140 years New Holland was the main transport hub from what is now East Yorkshire to Lincolnshire via the ferry that went from New Holland to Hull, and at one time, Hessle. It wasnt until the Humber Bridge was finished that New Holland Ferries to Hull ceased, and New Holland became a village rather than a transport hub. The Humber Bridge is a 2.22 km, single-span road suspension bridge, which opened to traffic on 24 June 1981. When it opened, the bridge was the longest of its type in the world; it was not surpassed until 1998 Walkers or Ramblers can walk the whole Humber Bank from this village, and over the beautiful bridge too. We are also still blessed with a train station. New Holland. We hope you choose to visit New Holland. It is an unassuming place, but with a lot of history. -------------- Sunnyville House is two miles from the nearest shop, but has virtually zero crime. A small village of less than 1000 people, our location is safe for your person and your car. There is a local pub a very short walk, at the end of the lane. The nearest pub serving food is a short drive down a remote country lane - about 1.5 miles so is walk-able too. All we have is peace and quiet, very little traffic, safe parking and a secure, private space. There is a train station in the village within walking distance with connections to the whole country. There is free parking on the drive and on the lane. There is a bus service to the local town, however most people find a car pretty much essential here. An initial complimentary supply of toilet paper and kitchen roll are provided along with tea, coffee, milk, sugar, olive oil, fresh eggs from our hens plus condiments etc. to get you started, after that it is normal self-catering. Dogs- must be up to date with vaccinations, flea and worm treatments. A fee of £5 per dog per night up to 3 dogs payable upon acceptance of booking. Dogs must NOT be left alone on the premises and can only use the private yard and not the gardens. Please mention the number and type of dogs when booking. A damage deposit of £150 is payable upon acceptance of booking via a separate funds request. Failure to pay the deposit immediately will invalidate your booking. We like a quiet life down this lane, so guests and neighbours are always considered. There is a pub just a few meters at the end of the lane, they do not serve food though but good ale etc. plus one Chinese Take-away in the village. The nearest shop is 2 miles away in Barrow upon Humber and is open until 10pm. The nearest pub that serves food is 2 miles away in Barrow Haven. New Holland has virtually zero crime and kids play out on the streets in summer. And that is how we like it!
