This is one of two spacious, king size en-suite, well decorated rooms in our large private entry annex so you can come and go as you please. Sarah and Andrew will welcome you to our house which is a short 12 minute walk to Bakewell town centre with its picturesque range of shops, cafes and pubs. At the bottom of our garden, there is access to a beautiful 15 minute river-side walk to Ashford in the Water and the Bulls Head which has great pub food. Chatsworth Farm Shop, - upmarket food shop and cafe with fantastic views Chatsworth House, - top attraction Chatsworth Garden Centre - upmarket garden centre with extensive cafe. Haddon Hall, - top attraction Monsal Head (well known view point), Arbor Low - stone circle short walk from the road parking Ladybower Damn- beautiful vista set amongst the north derbyshire hills Buxton Cresent - rainy day venue is heritage sight converted to a very smart hotel. Hardwick Hall - National Trust about 20 minutes by car. Ilam Hall - National trust about 20 minutes by car and near Dovedale Castleton and Buxton caverns - Speedwell and Pool Cavers are the most popular Matlock Bath - Heights of Abraham fun park and cable car ride Matlock Farm Park - lots of animals the children will love. WALKS - (see site pictures) Lathkill Dale - the River Lathkill - this is stunning on a sunny morning seeing the layered trout ponds. Pub to walk to is the Lathkill at Over Haddon Stanton Moor - generally dry underfoot and 360 views - see the cork stone and the nine ladies stone circle dating back to the druids.Pub to visit is the Childers, Stanton in the Peak or the Druids in Birchover. Stanage Edge - rocks millstones and incredible views down to Chatsworth and up to Hathersage along the Derwent Valley Monsal Dale - from our house along the River Wye to Ashford then up the valley to Monsal Head . Pub Pack Horse Little Longstone or The Stables at Monsal Head Chatsworth Park - many walks here along the river or surrounding hills. Pubs to visit are the Devonshire at Beeley, Devonshire at Pilsley or Devonshire at Baslow Mam Tor Castleton - iconic derbyshire hill ridge walk Ladybower Damns - Win hill and surrounding walks are stunning - go to the information centre at the Derwant Damn Kinder Scout - highest moorland walk in the Peak District. Public Transport runs from the top of the road and goes to Buxton and Matlock. At an extra cost of £10 per head we offer a delicious English Breakfast in our dining room using locally sourced ingredients. Cereals, Yogurt, Tea/Coffee, Toast, Orange Juice and a freshly cooked plate of Bacon, Sausage, Fried Egg, Beans Mushrooms and Tomatoes.
