Charming cabin in South Downs
Charming isolated space overlooking garden and open farmland within South Down National Park. Double bed with space for travelling cot if have young family. En-suite toilet and shower with luxury products. Own lockable door with parking. Ideal for Goodwood, weddings at the Tythe Barn and Southdowns Manor, visits to Petersfield and Chichester, as well as walking the South Downs Way. We don't accept dogs but guests may come into contact with Nora our friendly dog so must be OK with dogs. The garden is isolated and because the garden and house is on open farmland there is a feeling of space and calm. Country roads abound for walks and escape from city life. The garden area is shared with the owners but guests have exclusive use of the table and chairs directly outside their cabin. Please contact hosts for use of the pizza oven or BBQ facilities. Available for questions at anytime. We are in the Harting Downs and have lots of leaflets suggesting walks and places to visit in the cabin. We are ideally placed for walking the Harting Downs and South Down Way. The views from Harting Downs are amazing. Also Butser Hill, the highest point on the South Downs Way in Queen Elizabeth Country Park is a great place to walk and the Visitor centre is about 6 miles drive away. If you want to explore market towns Petersfield is charming Petersfield is about 10 mins away which is a lovely market town with lots of pubs, eateries and shops. You can walk there across the fields from our the cabin too. And of course Chichester with it's famous Cathedral is close by too. We have a great village pub in South Harting called The White Hart which is walkable (2 miles) along country roads although probably a cab back! There is also about half an hour down the A3, Portsmouth GunWharf Quays and there is a park and ride for that which makes it easier. GunWharf is a Designer outlet, lots of eateries on the Quay and also the great Spinnaker Tower. We are 3 miles from Petersfield Train Station which is on the main line from London, Waterloo. Please note that we have a Tibetan Terrier, Nora so guests must like dogs as she is free to roam in the garden. There are no cooking facilities in the cabin bar a toaster and kettle.
