Churnet Reach is located only 15 minutes from the Staffordshire Moorlands which is an area of outstanding natural beauty, providing many outdoor pursuits such as, cycling, walking, climbing, mountaineering, canoeing, sailing, caving, the list goes on!! The Churnet Valley steam railway is only 5 minutes walk away from Churnet Reach, running steam and heritage diesel trains most weekends. There are quaint country pubs within walking distance if you don't fancy cooking one evening. The historic market town of Leek is about 10 minutes away by car with a multitude of shops, supermarkets and too many restaurants and pubs to mention. There are regular farmer's markets held in Leek and also an arts, craft & cultural centre. The kitchen is brand new for this season, featuring state of the art instant hot water, induction hob cooking, toaster, microwave, oven, hob, fridge-freezer, electric kettle, electric heating, wooden flooring . Fully equipped cupboards with every utensil which you may required We have tried to facilitate into Churnet Reach the kind of space which we would appreciate whilst being away from home and hope our guests appreciate the beautiful area of the Staffordshire moorlands. Please be aware that we can now accommodate 2 couples at a time as we have 2 separate luxury suites each with there own bedroom, private ensuite shower room & luxury hot tub log cabin, so if you fancy a night away with friends/relatives please check out our other room hot tub accommodation at Churnet Reach. Please note that due to all of the wooden structures around the site, we do not allow BBQs under any circumstances. However there is a country park around 10/15 minutes drive away with dedicated BBQ areas Guests will have their own private entrance to the accommodation without actually having to come in to the main house. Guests will have their own private bathroom, kitchen log cabin, outdoor seating area with & private log cabin hot tub. We are onsite most of time, we do tend to give our guests as much space as possible as we realise a lot of guests enjoy their time away in privacy. However, if our guests require any assistance/interaction, we are available 24/7 if needed to be. We are situated only 15 minutes from Alton Towers, we are the same distance from Ashes barn wedding venue & a similar distance to the Peak district national park with all of it's outdoor activities. Chatsworth house is around 20 minutes drive awayThere are the pottery museums in Stoke on Trent near by, Wedgewood, Royal Doulton & Emma Bridgewater. Driving in the Peak district is a truly breath-taking experience, there are so many stunning scenic areas within 15 minutes drive away. The rail links are to Stoke railway station which is around 20 minutes by taxi. There are numerous canal side walks in the area, along with walks from the various steam railway stations in the area
