You will have the luxury of a King sized bed, flat screen TV, private en suite, free WiFi, mini fridge and tea & coffee making facilities. You can also relax in our spaceous back garden. We are within 10 mins drive to Belvoir Castle, 15 mins drive to Melton Mowbray, 20 mins drive to Grantham and easy links to both Leicester and Notts. The cosy space contains a King sized bed, flat screen TV with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Now TV, sofa, storage for clothing, private en suite, free WiFi access and tea & coffee making facilities. *Important Please Note* •There is no access to a kitchen or cooking facilities, however the local village shop/café and pub offer takeaway food and drink and are within 3 mins walking distance. Please see the 'Other Notes' section for more to do and see in the area. •Please be aware that the annex roof slopes down low at the sides, so please mind your head when making tea/coffee :-) Guests have access to: • x1 off-road bay parking space • Private annex which includes a king sized bed, bedding, 2 seater sofa, en suite shower and toilet, towels, shampoo, body wash and conditioner, widescreen TV (with free NowTV, Netflix and Prime), free WiFi, clothing storage, clothing hangers, mirror, mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, extra blankets, first aid kit, heating, a fan, fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detector and cleaning products. •The back garden space (camp chairs can be provided upon request at booking but not during lockdown). Guests may have access to the following shared amenities upon request at booking (but not during lockdown due to social distancing requirements): • Garden seating area on patio • Summer house Self-check in with a lock box, we will send the code via an AirBnB message 1-2 days before your arrival. Myself and my partner both work full time, therefore we don't usually greet our guests face to face, however we are available for communication regarding any enquiries or issues 24/7 via the AirBnB app. We do endeavour to meet every request or solve any issue as promptly as possible on our return home from work. We are located in the countryside in the village of Stathern, Vale of Belvoir, a very short distance from Belvoir Castle, Langar Hall and 25 mins from Belton House, Grantham. There are a good selection of local gastro pubs and restaurants nearby, including the Nag's Head, Rose and Crown, Chequer's Inn, the Wheel and the Michelin starred John's House. There are local walks, farm shops and garden centres nearby to complete the countryside experience. In the village itself we have Stathern Village Hall which has seasonal events, yoga and dance classes, St Guthlac's church with a regular Sunday and mid-week church service, the Coffee Shot cafe/shop, the Plough Inn, the 'Phone Box' Library and Stathern Garage. •There is a regular bus (24/25) that runs through Stathern to Melton Mowbray, but the best way to get around is by car or bicycle. •There is a local taxi service called 'Elaine's Taxis' for those that wish to visit the local pubs and enjoy a few drinks. •There are also a number of walks (public footpaths) in the area for those that enjoy a good ramble, with one behind the house leading to Belvoir Castle which takes approximately 45 mins. •There is also a parking space available on our driveway for x1 car belonging to guests to bay park, and space on the road for any additional vehicles. ¤ Please note that our village is in the countryside, and at night it is very dark making the turn off for our house tricky to find. We therefore advise guests to plan ahead by reading through the directions in the check-in link we send prior to your arrival, which also contains a (Hidden by Airbnb) maps link for help with navigation and step-by-step instructions on how to find the turn off. ￮We are close to a number of eateries including: •Local shop/cafe the Coffee Shot (5min walk) that serves breakfast, good coffee, cake and sandwiches. •The local Plough Inn Stathern (5mins walk) which has a fish and chip night on a Weds, pie night on a Thurs and a carvery on a Sunday (takeaway available). •The Crown & Plough in Long Clawson- does excellent fish & chips and stonebaked pizzas (takeaway available). •The Wheel at Branston, the Nags Head in Harby and the Rose and Crown in Hose, which all do excellent food (all (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) mins drive) •The Engine Yard at Belvoir Castle (10min drive) which has a number of shops, including the Fuel Tank cafe that serves a tasty Ploughman's. ￮Ragdale Hall luxury spa, is 15qmin drive away, for those looking to have a pamper weekend or some 'me' time. ￮Plungar skydiving is (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) mins drive away for those looking for an adrenaline fuelled experience. ￮And lots more to see and do in the area, we're very happy to give you recommendations if you get stuck for ideas or are new to the area, just drop us a message :-)
