Villa Phaedra Koufonissi

This is a 250m2, bright, airy house, a 5 minute walk from Pori beach - one of the best of the Cyclades. It has 5 bedrooms on two levels, all of them with ensuite facilities, making it suitable for families or large groups of friends. Ground floor: 3 ensuite bedrooms with sea view, large living room-kitchen, large outdoor terrace Basement floor: 2 additional ensuite bedrooms with small windows, tv room The three ground floor bedrooms are far superior to the basement bedrooms which have tiny windows and IKEA furniture. These are more suitable for older children who like their independence or for last minute additions to your group (who can't really complain) Guests will be able to access the whole house apart from the storage room. I live in Athens so you will not be seeing me but you will be welcomed by the caretaker who knows how everything works. There is a leaflet in the house providing information on sights, day trips, restaurants, bars etc. Pori has a great beach, a great bar-restaurant with live music nights (Kalofeggo) and loads of cool diving rocks and snorkeling bays. All of these are a 5 minute walk. For anything else (grocery store, bakery, newspapers, pharmacy, souvlaki) you will have to go to the main village. You can pretty much walk everywhere on the island and that is one of its main attractions. The main village / port is about half an hour's walk away, and there is also a bus operating the route during the summer season. There is no broadband connection on the island apart from the main village. The internet in the house works with 4G. Typically to island houses, there are no black-out shutters or blinds, which means the light filters through the timber shutters in the morning. Some people love it - others hate it. If you really do hate it, I suggest sleeping in one of the basement rooms which are much darker.
