Situated in the hamlet of Sparrow Pit in the heart of the Peak District, there are views to the front over rolling countryside. To the rear the, vista stretches to Mam Tor and the hills around Castleton, a village ever popular with visitors and walkers, and renowned for its Blue John caves and caverns. The village farm shop is close by and, as well as a number of walks from the door. Nearby are Buxton, Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Lyme Park. The nearest small town, Chapel-en-le Frith, where all shopping can be done, is a short drive away. The spa town of Buxton is a delight with its Opera House, Crescent and Pump Room, and the famous ’Buxton Water’, available straight from the well.
