Big garden, lots of birds and wildlife, nearest neighbours are cows and sheep. But only 50 minutes to London by train. Perfect to get away from it all. Self catering. The Barn is the top floor of an all-wood heritage triple garage. It's got views across the Vale of Aylesbury to the Chilterns, and is perfect if you like to cycle (you can keep your bikes in the garage) or walk - or explore Midsomer Murders territory! Bishopstone is a tiny village, with a newly refurbished local pub with great food, and the centre of Aylesbury is 3 miles away. Use of the garden with us - a mixture of formal lawns and beds and a flower meadow. Because the Barn has steps access it's no good for people with impaired mobility - sorry. You'll have your own space to yourselves - we're in the main house but that's 25m away. We are happy to take long-term bookings for midweek (Monday - Thursday) stays. The Barn (our name for the flat) is all yours, with your own front door, away from the main house. You can also have use of the garage for bikes, the garden to sit out, play or wander. The utility room with laundry facilities is available, for a small contribution. *During the CoVid-19 pandemic we will not greet guests in person* The Barn is self contained, so we expect guests will be attracted by the opportunity to have their own space to themselves. We're happy to be there for help and information. Bishopstone is a very small, quiet village. There are no street lights so you can see the stars on a clear night. In fact it's so quiet there are no shops, but there is a great, newly refurbished village pub! Your nearest neighbours are the cattle and sheep behind the barn. Having said that, you're only about 3 miles from the centre of Aylesbury, so it's not really 'the middle of nowhere'! Just peaceful and calm You're probably best coming by car (or bikes) and there's parking next to the Barn. Trains from London Marylebone go to Stoke Mandeville or Little Kimble stations, both about 2.5 miles from us. There are 2 buses a week (yes, a week!) to the centre of Aylesbury. Taxis are fairly reasonable to and from Aylesbury and the stations.
