Orchard Garden Cabin
Our cabin is set in the garden of our home which is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is a decking area around the cabin with a fire pit plus table and chairs for dining alfresco or just enjoy the fresh air. We are surrounded by fields located about 1 mile from the village and pubs. You can head out for a county walk right from the door step. Several National trust properties in the area. Whether your stay is long or short, there is plenty do to or just take time to relax. Our cabin is set in the garden of our home which is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is a kitchenette in the main studio room and a shower room with toilet. The kitchenette has a breakfast bar and stools. Appliances include a toaster, kettle, two ring ceramic hob, microwave, slow cooker and a fridge. The lounge/bedroom area has a double bed and bedside tables, two seater sofa and television with sky TV including Sky cinema and Sky Sports. We have a travel cot and highchair available for families with babies/toddlers. On the decking area to the front of the cabin, you will find a table and chairs for dining alfresco or just enjoy the fresh air. We have a fire pit area at the back of the cabin which can be used to cook on. We charge £12.50 per night for coal and wood. (or coal only for £5). We can only allow the use of the fire pit with the coal and logs we provide due to health and safety risk assessment. The cabin is very well insulated to keep the warmth in and has two electric oil filled radiators. One of these radiators on a fairly low setting is more than enough to keep the cabin nice and cosy. We also have a wood burner look alike electric heater which has a mist flame effect that can be used without using the heater. We are surrounded by fields located about 1 mile from the village and pubs. You can head out for a county walk right from the door step. Check in is from 16:00 onwards as this is when it will definitely be cleaned and reset for check in's on Tuesdays and Fridays. The clean is often completed before this on other days and if the cabin can be made available to you earlier, we will let you know. Please note: Our drive way is directly off the main road through the village and you will hear the sound of cars driving past, especially during rush hour. There is a private driveway and large gardens. We live on site so these areas are shared but there is plenty of space to enjoy your privacy. The cabin is in our garden and so we are available most of the time to help with anything you might need. That said we are happy to leave you to yourselves to enjoy your privacy There are several national trust properties in the area which include: 1.4 miles from Wakehurst Gardens 2.6 miles from Standen House and Gardens 6.9 miles from Sheffield Park 6 miles from Nymans Gardens 1.8 miles from Kingscote station which is on the Bluebell railway. 2.7 miles from Kingscote Estate and Vineyard 7.6 miles from The British Wildlife Centre In the village you can visit the Priest House, a grad II posted building and museum. There are plenty of walks you can take right from the door step and plenty of places to visit with a short car journey. Transport 8.3 miles from Gatwick Airport 7.2 miles from Haywards Heath train station 5.5 miles from Three Bridges train station 4.2 miles from East Grinstead train station Dining out or take away There are some great pubs in the local area serving great food (some offering takeaway during the pandemic). There is an award winning curry house and a Michlin star restaurant at Gravtye Manor.
