Modern, functional, private apartment at the back of our Classic Old Town Longmont home, with it’s quiet, charming tree-lined streets. Fabulous location; one block stroll gets you to Roosevelt Park, a few blocks to Longs Peak our local pub, or Luna Cafe coffee shop. By car it’s an easy 20 min commute to Boulder, lovely Lyons 15 minutes away; to RMNP or Denver in under an hour. We are happy to share bicycles, gas grill, hot tub, & swing set. Longmont Permit # STR190046 Rainbow Guesthouse is an addition at the back of our 1930’s craftsman home. It is a ground level apartment with no steps, except one to the patio entrance. Friendly dogs allowed with payment of additional pet fee ranging from $20-$150. Minimum pet fee is applicable upon booking but additional may be due depending on number of pets and number of nights stay. The guesthouse does share walls with our laundry and craft rooms of the main home; though it is completely private with no access between. Your entry to the guesthouse is off the backyard stamped concrete patio. The space comprises of open living/dining room (Queen Murphy Bed, which stows out of the way during the day) kitchenette, with essentials, microwave, small fridge with top door freezer, keurig coffee, one burner induction cooktop. The hallway leads to a full bathroom with tub and shower, and at end of hallway the bedroom which contains a work desk, closet and couch that converts to a double bed. The space layout is efficient, similar to small apartment Airbnb’s that I’ve stayed in Europe. It is intended to provide an affordable option for families, but is not really spacious enough for multiple adults traveling together, unless you don’t mind a sofa bed. Regarding Covid-19 Colorado state may require masks to be worn indoors. If visiting from out of state be aware you will need to comply with current health ordinances. We have adopted all required extra precautions when cleaning to prevent Covid19 Virus spread. We are disinfecting all surfaces and especially high touch areas such as light switches, door knobs, with EPA approved disinfectant, between bookings. Drying linens on high heat to sanitize. You have sole and private use of the guesthouse and hot tub while you stay with us. It is also possible to use the washer dryer in the main house during your stay with prior arrangement (or letting us know once you arrive) The backyard is a shared space, and we are happy to loan bicycles to over 16’s . We hope that you treat our home as yours, including hanging outside in the back yard; (We do use the hot tub on rare occasions, after skiing and will always give advance notice) Duma, our small shy dog is our backyard ambassador. Please remember to always close the gate when coming and going :) We travel frequently so may not be in town. That said, when home we often enjoy being in the yard especially in the summer, and hosting friends. We will let you know in advance if we have a gathering planned, which you are always welcome to join! We love staying in Airbnb’s ourselves, and meeting new people while still retaining a bit of privacy, which is why we’ve set up the guesthouse as it is! Even if not in town, we are always available by phone or text if you have any questions or needs. Right in the heart of Old Town Longmont, on one of the quietest streets, walking distance to downtown (1/2 mile to 1 mile depending on destination) Easy stroll Roosevelt Park, the main park in Longmont, which fingers crossed will resume hosting festivals, concerts and ice skating all winter. Rec center with gym on the east end of the park . Hopefully the the BrewHop Trolly will be up and running again soon! Easily accessed by public transportation, with the closest bus stop 3 houses down, and the main bus station at Roosevelt park. Longmont offers free bus service within the city!! 5 routes available Routes, schedules and maps available on Longmont RTD site. We are no shoes in the house kinda people, we appreciate your cooperation in this and we’ve put a shoe tray by the entry patio doors. Pet fee paid at booking is the minimum fee. Additional fees may apply depending on number of guests and number of nights. 420 friendly, however, smoking, MJ or otherwise, is allowed outside of the guesthouse only. Our dog ventures in the back yard from time to time, so please remember to close the gate when entering and leaving the property. It is important to us to support our local recycling and composting community, so we provide 3 waste receptacles inside the guesthouse. One for trash, one for recycling, and one for compost. Please rinse any recycling before placing it in the blue bin. And separate compost (all food waste, tea, coffee etc. and paper towels) to go in the green lined bin. We appreciate your cooperation and are happy to answer any questions if it’s at all confusing!
