Studio with a terrace, fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with luxury bed and tv, private bathroom and shower. 2 km from city center, near Xpo, cinema, park, university,sports center Lange Munte, restaurants and bars. The b&b sits in a quiet little side street of Doorniksesteenweg, which goes straight into the city center, 5 minutes by car. The studio is ideally located near the highway to Ghent, Bruges, Lille and Ypres. With a bike you are immediately in the country side. The 2 completely renovated studios offer everything you need to make your life easy on your trip in Kortrijk. Each studio has a luxury bed, a sitting area with TV, a private bathroom with shower and a fully equipped kitchen with dining area. Voilà! ‘The Globetrotter’ studio even adds a relax Provencal terrace. ‘The Reader’ has a cosy mezzanine where you can watch TV in real cinema seats. So choose wisely. Next2Xpo is situated on walking distance from Kortrijk Xpo, campus Vives, the Kulak university, sports center De Lange Munte, Kinepolis cinema and the Castle ‘t Hooghe with the international rosegarden Park. The Kennedy business Park is only a 2 minutes drive away. There are several bars, restaurants and shops in the close surroundings. The city center is about 2 km. There is a separate entrance for the guests. After making your reservation, you will get a code allowing you to enter by the front door. Parking is totally free. You have complete privacy. If however you do need some help or want some information, feel free to ring my bell. I live next door. Kortrijk is famous for its history going back to the Roman Times. On the Grote Markt you can admire the 15th century belfry ‘Het Belfort ‘(Unesco World Heritage) and City Hall. The Broeltorens, the beguinage (Unesco World Heritage), the new linen museum, and the Kortrijk 1302 museum are definitely worth a visit. On Buda Island you’ll find the renowned Buda Art Center. For flora lovers and jogging enthusiasts there is the 175 years old International Rosegarden that won the ‘garden of Excellence’ label and the castle parc just across the street. Shopping is a great experience in the shopping mall K, in the pedestrian shopping streets or the boutiques in the Doorniksewijk. Kortrijk is also known for its great restaurants and cozy cafes with nice terraces. The walking tours and bike rides near the river the Leie and the City surroundings are well worth a try. The Albertpark offers you a skatepark "The Skatebowl" that is one of the finest in the Benelux. Lille, France (20 minutes by car), Gent (30 min) or Bruges (30 min) with their historical and cultural sites as well as great shopping make for a wonderful day trip. The bus stop, with frequent busses bringing you from and to the city center and train station, is only 100m away. There’s a bakery and a Bio shop nearby. Unfortunately not open on Sunday. There is also a supermarket Carrefour at 5 minutes by car and open on Sunday morning.
