Lovely, comfortable wooden house with large garden
In our beautiful, cozy wooden house (150sqm) you can enjoy your vacation in the Eifel from the very first minute! It is our home and therefore very personally furnished. On the ground floor there is a large open living / kitchen area, a small bedroom and a small toilet/shower. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a spacious bathroom. When the weather is good, you can relax on our large wooden terrace facing south and west from morning to evening. We have been living in our wooden house for over 20 years and have created a feel-good oasis where we can relax and unwind. We believe other people will be ‘at home’ here and that's why we feel able to rent it out as a holiday home for people looking for a relaxing place to stay. We have furnished the house with great attention to detail, it exudes a lot of warmth and comfort, the combination of wooden building materials and antique furniture giving a pleasant, cozy atmosphere. Everywhere you will feel that the house is not just a holiday home, but a real home. The spacious living area with open access to the kitchen is inviting and flooded with light. The bedrooms are also cozy and warm. The large terrace and garden offer plenty of space to linger and relax. The lawned garden is surrounded by a tall hedge giving privacy, there’s a choice of comfortable seating and two places where you could have a BBQ or simply spend the evening warming yourselves around a warm campfire. Perhaps you are thinking of combining home office working with a vacation ... if so let us know and we’ll do what we can support this. We rent out our home during the weeks when we are travelling ourselves. Our cat Balu does not travel with us. In winter and on really cold days he prefers to stay inside in the living room almost all the time. In warm months he lives and sleeps outside around the house, but likes to come into the house from time to time to rest or to be stroked. In the garage he has his food in an automatic feeder and his sleeping place. Guests need to do nothing to feed him. Our house is located in a quiet residential area with a care home in the immediate vicinity. Therefore, it is important to us that guests do not have parties or loud gatherings. Our house is located in a quiet residential area above the village center of Dahlem. Just 500 meters further and you are in nature. The center of the village can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. There is a discount grocery store, a pharmacy, a bakery, a butcher's shop, restaurants and a bank with ATMs. There is a small but nice weekly market on Wednesday mornings. Dahlem train station is a 15-minute walk away. It lies in the middle of the line between Cologne-Trier. Due to the flood disaster in summer 2021, there will be no trains on the Euskirchen-Dahlem-Trier line, but rail replacement services. Dahlem is the starting point for many hiking and cycling trails. Enjoy the lovely Eifel countryside using well-signposted networks of local and regional cycle and hiking trails. Only a few kilometers away you can visit the small, historic castle village of Kronenburg, cool off in the Kronenburger lake or dare a tandem parachute jump at Dahlemer Binz Airport. There are also many other interesting destinations nearby that are well worth a visit. Our house is particularly suitable for relaxed holidays with friends and/or families. Parties and loud gatherings are not allowed. As the house is located in a quiet residential area with a retirement home in the immediate vicinity, we ask for your consideration and observance of the general night-time quiet from 10.00 pm. The house has no child safety locks (for stairs, sockets, cupboards, etc.).
