Barn Cottage, Kintbury

The barn is a one bedroom, split level cottage in the heart of picturesque Kintbury. There are plenty of walks in the countryside and the canal is within easy reach for walking, fishing and biking. The village has 2 pubs, a corner store, butchers and bakery all a few minutes walk from the cottage. The property is an easy 3min walk for trains to Newbury/Hungerford (5mins) or London (1 hour). There is fast unlimited internet in the cottage and a separate Netflix account for guests use. The Barn Cottage is fully self contained with it's own entrance. The cottage has very comfortable living accommodation with working kitchen and lounge area; double bedroom with plenty of storage and bathroom with bath and shower. There are no restrictions with access so you can come and go as you please. Storage is available in our garage if you need it for bikes or fishing gear. If you are driving to us, please park on the street when you arrive. We are a busy family of four and use our driveway often. We can help with information about local walks and recommend things to do in the area - just ask. Kintbury is a pretty and friendly village in the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is an ideal location for exploring Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire. There are plenty of fishing opportunities an easy walk away on the Kennet & Avon. Newbury racecourse is 20 minutes away by car and 15 minutes by train. Kintbury train station is a 5min walk from the cottage. To London (in 1 hour) or Newbury/Hungerford (in 5mins). There is a local bus stop outside the cottage with buses to Newbury & Hungerford. We are a busy family and generally won't be available when you are staying but if you do need anything specific or have question please let us know and we'll do what we can to help.
