DiVine geodesic dome experience close to nature
DiVine, the dome, offers a double room for one or two people with a new guest shower and toilet facility 30m across the garden. There is an outside composting toilet for night time wee's only. The dome is heated and has lighting and electricity for charging phones or making a drink but no cooking facilities or mini fridge. There is a patchy Wi-Fi signal. The Dome is situated down a quiet country lane on the outskirts of Hucknall, Nottinghamshire overlooking fields and a beautiful rural view. In a dome you are in the most natural shape, reproducing the geometry of the universe – the same geometry which is the basis of all celestial bodies and molecules of your body. No wonder you may already feel the space as sacred, as healing and rejuvenating to all parts of your body. keeping the curtains open at night gives you an amazing star gazing experience on a clear night The DiVine Dome sits a short distance from the main house, a bungalow called The Vines, and is set in a beautiful zen garden and with countryside views. It is very quiet although there is a field footpath nearby so walkers can sometimes be overheard as they enjoy the rural experience. Parking is available for two cars alongside the Dome. There is usually someone around day and night. Their are a number of pubs, restaurants and food shops a short drive away, none of which are really walk-able. There is a sit outside /take out place for breakfast or lunch called Gourmet Bros at 61 Nabbs Lane, NG15 6NT who are open Mon - Fri 7am to 4pm and Sat 9am to 1pm. The walk there is approximately 20 minutes. There are also several lovely places to visit nearby: Newstead Abbey - NG15 9HJ DH Lawrence’s birthplace - NG16 3AW Wollaton Hall and Park - NG82AE Hucknall is a small town 10 miles from Nottingham. There is a bus stop half a mile walk down the lane taking you into Hucknall. The Tram goes from Nottingham railway station or city centre, and the nearest tram stop to us is Moor Bridge or Hucknall station. A short taxi ride can bring you to DiVine where access is via a field gate and key lock door entry. The nearest motorway junction is 27 on the M1 and parking is available for two cars alongside the Dome. Sadly there is no plumbing available up to the Dome but we have recently built a guest shower and toilet in what was our porch. Access is a 30m walk across our lawn into the porch and soory but we do not provide towels. We also have a lovely composting toilet for your use near the Dome to be used ONLY for wee's - Thank you. There is also a garden pond which is not suitable for young children and sorry but no pets are allowed - no exceptions.
